This article is shown as an integrated axis which refers directly to the action of strategies in processing the information in the human brain. The objective of this article is to study the achievements of learning strategies influence over the information process, to know the learning process of people in general and to design intervention techniques in order to improve the information process. Therefore, by applying the correct strategies, we will improve any learning process in many ways. From our perspective, to act strategically before any teaching- learning activity involves to make consciously the right decisions in order to regulate the conditions that define the learning process and to reach determined objectives. To teach strategies to students implies to teach them to decide consciously all actions they will perform and to modify them in order to reach determined goals. Result...

The forms of production, emission and consumption process of messages have been modified significantly with the advent of digital technologies. Museography doesn´t escape to this phenomenon, as long as the users of the museums have new paradigms in the way of consume information. The museums have also been developing with regard to their function and increasingly come to the idea that they, conceptually, must be outside and not just wait visitors. Education is a factor that founds in museums a valuable resource to promote the integration and assertion of identity. The enclosure, the architectonic place becomes the element that completes the articulation of the elements of exhibition. Although structurally its variation in favor of a type of exhibition is not significant, it is clear that we must consider the space as modi...

Several anthropogenic pressures are threatening biodiversity and may increase in the next years, altering ecological processes and ecosystem services. Biological collections offer a rich source of information to develop studies of functional ecology and biodiversity conservation. Key information related to morphology, physiology and life history could be obtained through functional traits provided by specimens in biological collections. Additionally, museum collections present a great potential for document changes of habitat disturbance, using response/effect framework, functional diversity measures, and fluctuating asymmetry approaches. Despite limitations of specimens in data such as abundance, imprecisions in specimen´s georeferencing, errors in taxonomic identification and the poor preservation state of some specimens, biological collections contain vast data banks, which could be ...

Using the information made available by the discovery of new canals in the Ceremonial center of Chavin de Huantar the present paper deepens the study of the origins and uses of Chavín’s hydraulic system –mainly to drain rainfall and ritual purposes, as well as a possible water supply– and investigates the influence of this development in later pre-Columbian constructions. Taking into account the latest knowledge of Chavin’s architectural sequence, the paper formulates from a hydraulics viewpoint a proposal for the construction stages of the canal networks and explores the growth of knowledge implied by this process.

Peru is one of the countries most exposed to catastrophic events worldwide such as: floods, debris flow, tsunamis, earthquakes. Particularly, earthquakes are generated by the interaction of the Nazca and South American plates known as the subduction process and shallow faults. Likewise, another major problem that Peru is going through is informality in construction, which, added to a large earthquake, could bring with it great economic losses and human lives. Therefore, these problems have motivated the development of this research, which aims to evaluate the seismic risk of buildings in the district of Ayacucho - Peru. In this sense, the probabilistic seismic threat is evaluated using the R-CRISIS program, accompanied by geophysical studies such as MASW (Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves) that allow the soil to be characterized based on shear wave velocities. Furthermore, the seism...

The relationship between executive functions (EF), creative personality, and academic performance in Argentine university students was examined. A total of 248 students (M = 22.97 years, SD = 4.43) from various Argentine provinces participated. The Adult Executive Functioning Inventory (ADEXI), the Cognitive Flexibility Scale, the Creative Behavior Scale (ECC), and the Creative Personality Scale (EPC) were used, along with academic performance data and sociodemographic information. Data were collected online through Google Forms and analyzed using Spearman correlations and mediation analysis with robust Maximum Likelihood estimator and Bootstrap. Cognitive flexibility exhibited the most robust correlation with grade point average (r = .281, p < .001), followed by working memory difficulties (r = -.234, p < .001). Creative personality correlated positively with grade point average (...

Computed tomography (CT) is a breakthrough technology used in medicine for diagnostic diseases. The same technique is used in other areas, such as aerospace chemistry, Radio astronomy, etc. The main objective of the CT is to reconstruct the internal part of an object without having to open it as a non-destructive test. To achieve this purpose, the CT uses the attention that X-rays undergo through this object with the information, the inner part of the object is reconstructed, that is to say the CT is an inverse problem. In this article uses the Fourier transform for the reconstruction of the internal part, for it is directly part of a continuous model, representing the density at the point (x, y) of a section, with a function p = p(x, y); and even though p is not required to be continuous, the Fourier method is more efficient and a better, more regular result is obtained p.

The problem that has been detected in the Specialty of Mathematics and Physics at UNHEVAL is that students determine the domain and range of functions analytically with much difficulty; this is indeed a very worrisome problem since they will be teaching Math and Physics without enough skills at basic levels where students are in formation and discovering the foundations of Maths; which is likely to be one of the reasons of many deficien- cies in students at basic leves.Because of what has been said and to try to decrease the problem of learning domain and range of functions, in this research it is been proposed the application of the graphical method with the Geogebra software; hence the final report has been designed as follows: Chapter I includes everything related to the research question as: description of the problem, formulation of the research problem, objectives, hypothesis, justi...

The accounting information systems, whether these are manual or computerized systems, determine the level of coupling and interaction. This is a crucial task in the analysis stage if you want to design an accounting information system that after its implementation is effective. We identified the main components of the accounting information system, such as the business line, the business processes, the technical-accounting standards, the chart of accounts, the personnel, the accounting policies, the organization chart, the pattern of operations, the manual of functions, the manual of accounting procedures, the books or system of accounting records, the forms or documentation, the internal control, the software, the hardware, the reports and financial reports. The main components, both internal and those of the environment, are in permanent interaction and constitute forces that int...

We extend the class of M-tests for a unit root analyzed by Perron and Ng (1996) and Ng and Perron (1997) to the case where a change in the trend function is allowed to occur at an unknown time. These tests M(GLS) adopt the GLS detrending approach of Dufour and King (1991) and Elliott, Rothenberg and Stock (1996) (ERS). Following Perron (1989), we consider two models: one allowing for a change in slope and the other for both a change in intercept and slope. We derive the asymptotic distribution of the tests as well as that of the feasible point optimal tests PT(GLS) suggested by ERS. The asymptotic critical values of the tests aretabulated. Also, we compute the non-centrality parameter used for the local GLS detrending that permits the tests to have 50% asymptotic power at that value. We show that the M(GLS) and PT(GLS) tests have an asymptotic power function close to the power envelope. ...
