OBJECTIVE: The absence of an universal classification for hyperthyroidisms (HT), give rise to inadequate interpretation of series and trials, and prevents decision making. We offer a tentative classification based on gammagrafic and functional findings. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Clinical records from patients who underwent thyroidectomy in our Department since 1967 to 1997 were reviewed. Those with functional measurements of hyperthyroidism were considered. All were managed according to the same preestablished guidelines. RESULTS: HT was the surgical indication in 694 (27,1%) of the 2559 thyroidectomies. This study describes the axiological model of the technological package as a pre-patentable foundation of innovation, designed to articulate the value dimensions underpinning validation, transfer, and potential impact on preventive health. A descriptive, non-experimental study with a qualitative–analytical approach was conducted through structured documentary review and hermeneutic content analysis. The results present a systemic model that integrates ethical, technical, and social principles, structuring the innovation process from need identification to product commercialization and maintenance. This framework demonstrates that axiological coherence provides the technical robustness, sustainability, and social relevance required for responsible biotechnological innovation. The influence of family and school on the level of independence of pre-school children is a fundamental aspect of integral development in early ages. This study has a quantitative descriptive approach. The aim of this study was to know the degree of Functional Independence in pre-school children in Cuenca (Ecuador). The participants were 30 children (3-5 years old), 15 from a public institution and 15 from a private one. The Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory Computer Adaptive Test (PEDICAT) was used as an evaluation tool, which measures the level of independence in 4 areas. Dental cavities represent a significant global health challenge, particularly in low-and middle-income countries, where early detection and diagnosis can substantially improve clinical outcomes. This study presents the development of a mobile application that utilizes YOLOv7 to detect early carious lesions on intraoral images, intending to provide dental professionals with a tool for timely diagnosis and intervention. Moreover, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is a type of sophisticated neural network that has shown to efficiently learn tasks related to the area of image analysis (among other areas). One example of these tasks is image segmentation, which aims to find regions or separable objects within an image. OBJECTIVE: To assess the association between menopausal status and female sexual function among mid-aged women with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. METHODS: We carried out a cross-sectional study of 221 sexually active HIV-infected women ages 40 to 59 years, based on a secondary analysis of a three-hospital survey in Lima, Perú. The purpose of this research is to analyse the landscape and archaeoastronomical heritage of Ñaña, Lurigancho-Chosica, which subsists in the interstices of the contemporary urban periphery of Metropolitan Lima. Despite the state’s neglect and unregulated urban growth in its surroundings, it holds many unexploited attributes. The Union-Ñaña archaeological zone was inhabited since pre-Hispanic times by specialists in the observation of astronomical phenomena called yañac, who were linked to the cult of the snow peak Pariacaca. Antecedentes: El paro cardíaco es un evento que corresponde al cese repentino e inesperado del funcionamiento mecánico efectivo del corazón. Objetivo: Caracterizar la bibliografía científica sobre el paro cardiorrespiratorio en el ámbito pre e intra hospitalario. Métodos y Materiales: Estudio de diseño descriptivo, documental y corte retrospectivo. La información fue buscada a través de la base de datos electrónicas como Scielo, PubMed, Elsevier, Redalyc, Biblioteca Virtual UPCH; fueron seleccionados 27 artículos que cumplieron los criterios de selección. Resultados: El 30% de las publicaciones se realizaron en Estados Unidos, durante el año 2022. Asimismo, el 44,4% de los artículos fueron localizados en PubMed. El rendimiento masticatorio es parte de la calidad de vida en pacientes desdentados totales, ya que la capacidad de masticar adecuadamente afecta la ingesta de alimentos y la nutrición. Antes de la rehabilitación protésica, estos pacientes enfrentan dificultades significativas para triturar los alimentos, lo que puede provocar una ingesta limitada y una dieta desequilibrada. Maintaining the stability of bipedal walking remains a major challenge in humanoid robotics, primarily due to the large number of hyperparameters involved and the need to adapt to dynamic environments and external disturbances. Traditional methods for determining these hyperparameters, such as heuristic approaches, are often time- consuming and potentially suboptimal.
