Nowadays, some of the most popular tools for parallel programming are Message Passing Interface and Open Multi-Processing. It is of interest to compare these tools in solving the same kind of problems, because of the use of different approaches to inter-task communication. This work attempts to contribute to this goal by running trials in a centralized shared memory architecture in the case of problems with an entirely parallel solution. The selected case study was the parallel computation of Mandelbrot set. Trials were conducted for different iteration limits, processors amount, and C++ implementation variants. The results show better performance in the case of Open Multi-Processing.

Introduction: Overweight negatively impacts the cardiovascular system and osteomyoarticular, promoting pain in the joints of the lower limbs. Therefore, strategies have been applied to reduce overweight through lifestyle changes. Objective: to investigate the effects of two multidisciplinary intervention programs on the health-related physical fitness of obese women with pain symptoms in the knees. Objectives: To determine the cicatrizing effect of Copaifera officinalis’ stem bark copaiba oil compared with omeprazole 20 mg in patients with diagnosis of peptic ulcer. Design: Experimental, comparative, phase II, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group clinical trial. Sexual harassment is an unwanted conduct of a sexual or sexist nature. In 2019, men(16%) and women(25%) undergraduates had suffered from sexual harassment and 43% were unaware of sexual harassment. Massive training could be accomplished through a virtual course. However, there is little research on evaluating the effectiveness of sexual violence prevention in virtual programs in undergraduates. A mixed study was carried out, with a quantitative component(randomized controlled trial of parallel groups) and a qualitative component(focus groups) to compare improvement of knowledge and satisfaction of the virtual course with the face-to-face course, in undergraduates. Debido a los constantes deslizamientos que se producen en lugares cercanos a la zona de estudio, especialmente en épocas de invierno, nos llevó a realizar un estudio más detallado y minucioso acerca de la estabilidad de taludes en roca entre los kilómetros 95 al 97 de la carretera Ciudad de Dios - Cajamarca. Es por ello que la presente tesis se encargará de informar al gobierno central y a la población aledaña si realmente se puede producir un deslizamiento en el tramo mencionado.
