The purpose of this article is to analyze the results of a diagnostic test in order to determine the aspects, weaknesses and/or difficulties presented by tenth grade students of three educational institutions located in the rural area of the municipality of Garzón (Huila), institutions that have the modality or technical high school graduates in agriculture and livestock. The support of this research is the Holistic Understanding of Science of Hurtado (2010), it is developed through the Holopraxis method and thus reach an apprehensive level of the study event, which is the mathematical competence Problem Solving. The work analyzes the contributions of Mercedes Rodrigo Bellido and Victoria Bossio Herrera, pioneers of psychology in Colombia, highlighting their impact from complementary approaches. Rodrigo, born in Spain, introduced psychotechnics and founded the first university psychology program in the country, consolidating the discipline as autonomous and applied to vocational guidance and child well-being. Bossio, Colombian and the country's first doctor in psychology, focused her work on psychopedagogy, promoting education for children with high abilities and learning difficulties, in addition to addressing problems such as child abandonment. The mental health of college students has been the source of research, projects, and public policies involving education, health, and psychology professionals. Having as its axis the study of mental health and the phenomenon of psychological illness, this systematic review aims to characterize mental health programs directed to college students, as well as the forms of interventions offered to reduce the incidence of psychological disorders. An assessment of part of a family planning program is presented in a social environment characterized by high fertility, low contraceptive use and knowledge and great interest in information and practice of family planning methods. Accidental pregnancy rates and subsequent expulsions are similar to those found in urban environments and sea level. By contrast, first expulsions rates are higher than those established for suburban and metropolitan populations sea level, so it could be considered an effect of biological, possibly related to altitude conditions. The application of IUDs appears to face a number of problems arising from the socio-cultural status of the population.
