RESUMEN El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo general el desarrollo de propuesta de mejora en la gestión de mantenimiento de los equipos del área de producción para incrementar la rentabilidad de la empresa de confecciones Danpar E.I.R.L. Se realizó el diagnóstico de la situación actual de los procesos de mantenimiento de los equipos del área de producción encontrando que los principales problemas que afectan a la rentabilidad actual son: la falta de un programa de mantenimiento preventivo ya que en el año 2016, se tuvo un tiempo total de reparación (TTR) de 1717 horas y 684 paradas por fallas reduciendo la disponibilidad de los equipos a 91.4%, lo que ocasionó un Costo lucro cesante (CLC) de S/. 597,168.
