Este trabajo está enfocado a utilizar las herramientas de la ingeniería industrial en el sistema de regadío por goteo para reducir de manera significativa el uso de agua en el cultivo de palta, en la localidad de Santa Rosa De Quives, dicha labor se realizó mediante varias condiciones, se desarrolló un esfuerzo conjunto entre los integrantes de esta tesis, así como los pobladores de dicha comunidad, para este tipo de actividad de sistema de regadío sabemos que al implementarlo tuvimos un poco de resistencia por parte de los pobladores, pero luego de implementado uno disfruta del hecho de tener un sistema de regadío mucho mejor, y sobre todo de no perder un recurso muy importante como es el agua, tan escasa en estos años a nivel mundial. Para desarrollar este sistema hemos contamos con personal técnico calificado, herramientas y equipos, tratando en lo posible de minimizar costo...

During the 19th century, the extraction of guano and saltpeter caused the normal difficulties for human existence in the desert region of Tarapacá to increase to levels never imagined until then, especially in relation to the use of water resources. On the one hand, the need to supply drinking water to a population that was growing rapidly and, on the other, the use of a high volume of aquifers by industrial mining processes that produce sodium nitrate, implied assuming different initiatives to satisfy these requirements.

A comprehensive understanding of social management in the La Libertad region requires the analysis and evaluation of substantive achievements and critical factors experienced in the economic, political, cultural and environmental dimensions. Therefore, an analysis of the region's water resources must link them to their role as the most important catalyst of the productive vocation and the forms of political and cultural organization of its regional societies from pre-Hispanic times to the present.
