In recent years, intercultural popular fusion music in Lima has grown into a representative «national» genre where intersocial and interethnic interactions take place challenging the established segregation of Peruvian society. This music seems to provide a space where youths contest their historical antagonistic role in Lima looking for cultural transcendence and spiritual meaning, searching for their own popular tradition, their own sacred, themselves.Based on diverse case studies, this article explores the sometimes contradictory discourses of fusion musicians when describing their music, as well as the issues they highlight as important to address through their intercultural projects. This article analyzes the development of the cumbia fusion (or «alternative» cumbia) scene in Lima, Peru, between 2010 and 2020. It demonstrates its impact in the change of programming criteria in big outdoor festivals, which only used to feature rock and pop bands, and now include not only this «alternative" cumbia bands, but also traditional cumbia orchestras and artists that were not accepted before. This analysis has been done primarily based on in-depth interviews with musicians and promoters of this scene, using the theoretical framework of Small (1998), Gell (1998), Straw (1991) and Bennet (2004). The career of two bands representative of this «alternative» scene, Olaya Sound System and La Nueva Invasión are used as case studies.

It is made up of ten essays that develop multiple musical scenes; the Andean predominates, but Creole, Afro-Peruvian, classical music and a field of musical fusion are also included. This work by Romero lays the foundation for the creation of a new field of study: ethnomusicology in Peru.

Durante décadas, el papel que la música cumple en la industria cinematográfica ha sido indiscutible, pues ambas artes han demostrado ser capaces de interrelacionarse perfectamente hasta lograr una adecuada fusión de música e imagen, por lo que resulta imposible que una prescinda de otra. Sin embargo, ¿qué sucede cuando la historia de los filmes presenta escenas violentas de forma inesperada? Es supuesto que tanto sonido como escena transmitan este concepto a su audiencia, y si bien el guion auxilia a la imagen para lograrlo, para el público resulta desconocido el reconocer cómo lo realiza la música. "Perú Party" es un videojuego de baile en realidad virtual (RV) que ofrece una colección de canciones de artistas peruanos, destacando géneros musicales fusión. Con el propósito de promover y disfrutar de la rica diversidad musical autóctona del país, el juego invita a los jugadores a seguir los pasos de una bailarina en 3D para alcanzar el puntaje máximo. Este proyecto no solo se distingue por su enfoque lúdico, sino también por su rol cultural al servir como una ventana hacia la fusión musical peruana. El proyecto incluye el prototipo de un nivel de "Perú Party", un documento de diseño de juego (GDD, por sus siglas en inglés), un brandbook para la dirección artística, un video que resume el detrás de escenas del proceso de desarrollo, y un sitio web para presentar el proyecto a posibles inversionistas. This article analyzes the political communication applied to the social network TikTok, digital scenario of electoral intervention in the inter-party consultations for the Colombian presidency 2022; for this purpose, a review of 19 TikTok videos that visualize or criticize the proposals of some candidates of the coalitions Equipo por Colombia, Pacto Histórico and Centro Esperanza is presented. During the study, it became evident that the latest social networks, mainly TikTok, had an electoral debut in attracting votes for the presidency, allowing some candidates to incorporate it within the strategies to promote political marketing.
