This paper describes the process followed by an internarional NFO, ITDG -Practical Solutions, to improve communication impact on its practices and institutional policies. It shows an inventory of the main challenges that NGOs are facing in the field of communication, the inrernarional scenario factors which generate them and the route this organization followed to meet them. The designed program, advances and lessons learned in the way, and also the considerations that must be taken to follow similar processes are described in detail.

The objective of this research was to deepen the understanding of ethnomathematics developed by masons in the Amazonian regions of Peru. To this end, the mathematical concepts implicit in the masons' practices were identified and analyzed, as well as to understand the role of culture and the natural environment in the configuration of this knowledge. The type of study was considered ethnographic, and consisted of gathering information through observation. A questionnaire was applied, with the purpose of evidencing the procedures carried out by the masons in the resolution of labor calculations using the fundamental operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) of ethnomathematical origin. The Peruvian construction sector, especially its SMEs, faces critical inefficiencies in supply chain management, particularly in procurement processes. Past research has shown that these inefficiencies lead to significant cost overruns and delays. This study addressed these challenges by implementing a procurement model integrating Lean Construction, Kaizen, and Just-In-Time (JIT). The main challenges identified were excess material purchases (20.12% of cost overruns) and late deliveries (25.84% of operations). The model reduced late deliveries from 25.84% to 8.95% and purchasing errors from 8.49% to 3.33%, confirming its effectiveness. The aim of this paper is to analyze the film Black Swan (2011), directed by Darren Aronofsky, in order to understand the identity construction of a subject crossed by multiple violence: Nina, the ballet dancer. For this purpose, the analysis will focus on the relationship of the following concepts: the processes of recognition, the dynamics of power and violence, and the experience of motherhood. It is concluded that Nina’s character suffers a double violence. The first one is linked to a patriarchal scheme of structural violence towards women and the feminine and the second one is related to an intimate and symbolic violence: the fusion and lack of recognition of her as a human being separated from her mother.

Contemporary migratory flows since the 20th century have undergone a radical metamorphosis, revealing unprecedented aspects of migratory phenomena that require complex reflection. Definitions and conceptualizations of the “other”, “foreigner”, “migrant”, are social and institutional constructions of the figure of the migrant. A deep philosophical reflection can lead to a debate on how conceptions of the “migrant” are intertwined with structures of power, domination and processes of inclusion and exclusion. This research sought to study the communication conditions in an educational institute with the purpose of knowing the effectiveness of the communicational interchanges between the parts involved and with the purpose of designing a tool to improve the communication between students, teachers, principals and parents. The efficiency of the communication was analyzed, as well as the benefits they obtain from it. The qualitative method was used to obtain their opinion through interviews. The collected information was used to design a technological platform that would allow keeping communication, taking into account the needs of the school under study. It is concluded that the communication is efficient between the internal actors but deficient with the external participants, for which the use of a technological platform of communication would benefit the process.
