The press images awarded as “photo of the year” by World Press Photo in the period between 2000 and 2011 represent international conflicts and disasters where the main characters are mostly women and children, plenty of drama and pathos. The axes of the discussion are the main photography situation on thedaily journal front page, against the right to privacy, the iconic representation of the sick people and victims of disasters and the social discussion through the network.

Argentinean online media have followed international trends in their digital trajectory and they have taken on the constant changes in the media ecosystem by innovating with the production of multimedia and interactive formats designed for the Internet, as well as technological initiatives such as virtual reality. From the organizational point of view, the convergence of newsrooms and the creation of labs are some of the identified features. In them, it was found that there were influences of its editors, in addition to the pressures exerted by the company and the sponsors. The aim of this paper is to analyze some of the influences of journalists, 15 years after the beginning of this research. It is intended to evaluate the conclusions of previous research and add another factor: the effect of social networks as a new element of pressure. In-depth interviews were conducted with eight journalists who worked as reporters on various national media. The elected journalists were young, precisely to evaluate new opinions regarding perceived autonomy. It was concluded that, for half of the interviewed journalists, the economic pressures of the owners of the company lack autonomy; Most do not feel pressured by their editors and social networks mean, for half the interviewees, a factor to take into account in their publications.
