This Project includes the design, preliminary calculations that determine the characteristics of the use of solar concentrators; construction, wich includes the manufacture of solar equipment and its structural parts; and implementation of the project with its results, wich will be specifically analyzed in this work. All this with the aim of generating hot water to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels for an industrial customer, wich has a process where the essential oil of lemon is obtained by consuming a large amount of steam power trough an industrial boiler. The final results of the project will demonstrate the great benefits of using solar energy for industrial processes, setting a precedent for future clients, who must migrate to these new solutions in this new era of industry 4.0 to be more efficient, more sustainable and more competitive in a worl that moves faster every year.

Climate change significantly impacts the lifestyle of people living in high Andean areas. For children, heat, combined with other environmental factors like humidity, leads to exhaustion — something experienced daily. Prolonged exposure to heat can cause side effects such as anxiety, and depression, and contribute to mass migrations and regional conflicts, affecting local communities. Given these concerns, this research focuses on the thermal comfort of all types of buildings, whether residential or public. It proposes the importance of controlling internal temperatures, much like green walls or building placement systems that allow air to flow freely, creating cool chambers with stable temperatures for a greater sense of comfort. Objective: To determine in vitro microleakage in lithium disilicate veneers cemented with resin cement and thermally modified resin. Materials and methods: An in vitro study was conducted using 20 maxillary premolars, on which lithium disilicate veneers were cemented. The specimens were divided into two groups of ten samples each. Each tooth was prepared on the vestibular surface for subsequent veneer fabrication. In Group 1, veneers were cemented with resin cement (Nexus-3), whereas in Group 2, thermally modified resin (Herculite Précis™) was used. The objective of this applied experimental research was to evaluate the microbial stabilization of pre-sonicated fresh milk by low temperature thermal treatment (≤60 °C), to reduce its perishability. Fresh milk was sonicated with an energy density of 0.5 kJ/mL before being thermally treated at low temperature (40 to 60 °C) for different times; The pre-sonicated and thermally treated milk was evaluated for its content of Total Mesophilic Aerobes (AMV) and Total Coliforms (TC), and the effect of the treatment on microbial populations was modeled using the Bigelow Model. It was determined that treatments between 40 and 45 °C generated population increases; but those treatments above 55.04 °C for AMV and 49.28 °C for CT initiated microbial inactivation processes, both temperatures being the lowest inactivation temperatures reported so far for fresh milk. La presente investigación ha sido desarrollada como respuesta a una problemática por la que pasa la empresa Thermal Engineering S.A.C., la cual limita el desempeño de su proceso de gestión de incidencias, debido a que este proceso se desarrolla de forma manual. Al lograr una mejora en el registro de las incidencias dentro de la empresa, se obtuvieron mejoras en la toma de decisiones, evitando la perdida de horas hombre, por las consultas instantáneas de algún dato o cualquier otra información, siendo de gran rentabilidad para la empresa. El trabajo realizado tiene como objetivo calibrar en potencia térmica el núcleo del reactor nuclear peruano RP-10 mediante la técnica de ruido neutrónico, que utiliza la estimación de parámetros cinéticos hallados experimentalmente. El desarrollo de esta actividad se llevó a cabo durante el plan de arranque de la puesta en servicio del nuevo núcleo del RP-10. Para ello, se utilizaron dos cámaras de ionización compensadas (CIC) en posiciones estratégicas dentro del reactor, con la finalidad de obtener en cada una de las CIC, la intensidad de corriente que genera la detección de neutrones. Two types of industrial hypereutectic Fe-C-Si alloys, with carbon saturation index as a measure of their eutecticity, SC = 1.11 and SC = 1.18, show “anomalous” behavior during their solidification processes for 3 out of 5 alloys. In order to determine their cause, behavior of their liquid cooling before solidification is analyzed through their parameters: thermal history [T-t], cooling rate [(dT/dt)L-t] and loss of heat content rate [(dQ/dt)L-t]. The energy assessment carried out in a middle-sized CSP parabolic field of 120 m2 is presented; it provides pre-heating water at 70°C to the boilers of the lemon essential oil extraction process in an agro-industrial company located in Piura, at the border of Sechura desert in Peru. The parabolic cylindrical solar concentrators are made with glass reflectors, an automatic solar tracking system, and collector tubes through which water flows. It was measured that each collector converts solar energy and transfer it as a thermal energy to the water with an average efficiency of 18.1%. Considering this result, theoretically the whole solar field could provide 550.37 GJ/year for water preheating, which is equivalent to saving 28151.8 liters of LPG, and 46.87 tons of CO2 released to the environment. In such experimental measurements one has to get the most accurate numbers as possible but in doing so one meets a lot of constraints and variables.
