En el presente trabajo de investigación se realizó el análisis granulométrico y la caracterización geoquímica y mineralógica del relave Santa Catalina - Quiruvilca, mediante el tipo de investigación descriptiva. El estudio se basa en la caracterización del relave Santa Catalina, inicialmente se realizó el análisis granulométrico para obtener un pasante de 60% malla #200 y un pasante de 95% malla #400. Para la caracterización de composición química por elementos y compuestos se aplicó las técnicas Espectrometría de Emisión Óptica (ICP-OES), Microscopio electrónico de barrido (MEB-SEM) y Difracción de rayos X (DRX). El contenido de oro y polimetálicos se determinó mediante absorción atómica.
