Decision making in mining is a complicated process. Decisions regarding the sizing and allocation of the fleet of trucks to different mines, considering the compliance with production and the total objective cost, are of paramount importance to mining companies as this directly affects their profits. This document presents a model of goal programming (based on linear programming) to optimize mining operations in underground mining taking into account three goals: (a) To minimize deviations from the target production of different minerals, (b) to minimize the surplus of the total designated operating cost and (c) to maximize the use of concentrator plants’ maximum capacity. The model determines the number of trucks needed and provides the optimal allocation to each mine while addressing the goals and limitations of the mining operation. A network is an acyclic directed graph in which there are sources that have some messages and want to transmit to receivers through the combination of messages in intermediate nodes. The goal is to find a collection of functions that allow to combine messages in order to satisfy the demand of the receivers. In this paper, we study the fractional solvability problem of a network using an extension of the solvability problem in closure operators given by Gadouleau in 2013. We define linear programming problems via the desired extension in order to study capacities; using some information inequalities and characteristic-dependent linear rank inequalities, we obtain upper bounds on linear capacity of some networks and closure operators over some fields.

This study develops a planning approach to enable interprovincial land-transport companies to maintain an efficient travel schedule, considering the availability of their medium and long-term resources and the application of revenue management to obtain higher incomes through the use of information technologies. The development of a decision-support system in this sector will allow travel schedule focuses for optimizing the total marginal contribution in the long term, i.e. the difference between incomes and variable costs, as well as an appropriate allocation of resources to the trips, and that the fares established are adequate for the company to reach its goals.

Rhodes, es un método no paramétrico, basado en programación lineal y benchmarking, para medir la productividad y la eficiencia relativa de unidades de organización. El objetivo fundamental de DEA es hallar una frontera de eficiencia, formada por aquellas combinaciones de recursos que optimizan la cantidad de productos fabricados minimizando los costos de producción, y a partir de esta frontera, evaluar la eficiencia relativa de las combinaciones de recursos que no pertenezcan a la misma. Esta tesis trabaja en el desarrollo de un Control adaptivo de un motor paralelo empleando linealización por realimentación. Debido al conocimiento impreciso de los parámetros del motor, un enfoque adaptable agrega robustez a la técnica de linealización entrada-salida que requiere la exacta cancelación de los términos no lineales. El objetivo del control es seguir una velocidad de referencia aún cuando se tenga parámetros desconocidos y perturbaciones de carga. La estabilidad de la dinámica interna es asegurada por el análisis de la dinámica de ceros. Se ha desarrollado también un observador no lineal para el torque de carga con dinámica de error lineal. Introduction: The adoption of efficient study habits is of great importance to achieve academic success in an increasingly demanding educational landscape. Objective: The relationship between study habits and academic performance among university students has been investigated. Method: The behavior of students regarding on-line tests has been taken as an indicator of study habits. From a stratified sampling, a random sample composed of 160 students enrolled in two first-year groups of the Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE) at the University of Malaga has been obtained. Several quantitative analysis techniques are applied: descriptive and inferential analysis based on the estimation of non linear and linear regression models. This research analyzes the relationship between the use of precision technologies and the management of agricultural inputs within the framework of sustainability. Structured surveys were conducted with 120 producers, addressing variables such as access to technology, training, technological integration, productivity, and barriers. Multiple linear regression, Spearman correlation, and cluster analysis were applied to identify the factors influencing efficient, environmentally responsible, and socioeconomically viable input management. The findings show that the Productivity and Sustainability dimension has a significant positive effect, while barriers and challenges have a negative influence.
