The construction of gene interaction models must be a fully collaborative and intentional effort. All aspects of the research, such as growing the plants, extracting the measurements, refining the measured data, developing the statistical framework, and forming and applying the algorithmic techniques, must lend themselves to repeatable and sound practices. This paper holistically focuses on the process of producing gene interaction models based on transcript abundance data from Arabidopsis thaliana after stimulation by a plant hormone.

Trypanosomatids are a group of kinetoplastid parasites including some of great public health importance, causing debilitating and life-long lasting diseases that affect more than 24 million people worldwide. Among the trypanosomatids, Trypanosoma cruzi, Trypanosoma brucei and species from the Leishmania genus are the most well studied parasites, due to their high prevalence in human infections. These parasites have an extreme genomic and phenotypic variability, with a massive expansion in the copy number of species-specific multigene families enrolled in host-parasite interactions that mediate cellular invasion and immune evasion processes. The fruit of Antidesma bunius has both medicinal and edible properties. In previous studies, the fruit extract of A. bunius showed anti-proliferation activity on breast cancer cells, but its functional components and anti-tumor mechanism are still unclear. In this research, the main active components of A. bunius fruits (detected by UHPLC-MS/MS) and the corresponding targets were analyzed by network pharmacology method, and its interactions were verified by molecular docking to explore the possible tumor suppressor mechanisms. The prediction of host human miRNA binding to the SARS-COV-2-CoV-2 RNA sequence is of particular interest. This biological process could lead to virus repression, serve as biomarkers for diagnosis, or as potential treatments for this disease. One source of concern is attempting to uncover the viral regions in which this binding could occur, as well as how these miRNAs binding could affect the SARS-COV-2 virus's processes. Using extracted sequence features from this base pairing, we predicted the relationships between miRNAs that interact with genes involved in immune function and bind to the SARS-COV-2 genome in their 5' UTR region. Western South America was one of the worldwide cradles of civilization. The well-known Inca Empire was the tip of the iceberg of an evolutionary process that started 11,000 to 14,000 years ago. Genetic data from 18 Peruvian populations reveal the following: 1) The between-population homogenization of the central southern Andes and its differentiation with respect to Amazonian populations of similar latitudes do not extend northward. Instead, longitudinal gene flow between the northern coast of Peru, Andes, and Amazonia accompanied cultural and socioeconomic interactions revealed by archeology. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo caracterizar morfológica y genéticamente las seis especies taxonómicas más un morfotipo del género Plukenetia reportadas para la Amazonía peruana: P. volubilis, P. brachybotrya, P. loretensis, P. polyadenia, P. huayllabambana, P. carolis-vegae y Plukenetia sp. morfotipo Cusco.
