Chile has been the epicenter of a political and social conflict that has brought with it the expression of violence that has put the institutions of the Republic in trouble. In this sense, it seems relevant to reflect on the causes of this phenomenon. In this regard, we have chosen the erosion of the social fabric as the central element of analysis that reveals the disrespect among compatriots, the levels of frustration on the part of the Chilean population, the lack of political representation of political-social demands and Above all, the need to rethink the country’s political structure, and the design of public policies in order to reconstitute the torn social fabric.

This paper critically analyzes conscientious objection in the context of the new regulation of pregnancy termination in Chile. It affirms that adequate regulation should not be blind to the hostile context in which abortion rights have been enacted and the difficulties experienced. The bioethical requirements that seek to balance the interests involved must consider the legal regulation of the interests at stake, the context in which they are implemented and, fundamentally, the effectiveness of the solutions adopted. Attention should be paid to the risks involved in the proliferation of objections that are not serious and to the political use of conscientious objection to prevent the implementation of women’s reproductive rights. Introduction: Data envelopment analysis (DEA) helps determining which of the regional hospitals have better relative performance and which could improve the use of resources. Objectives: To analyze, using data envelopment analysis (DEA), hospitals technical efficiency in Chile. Design: Non parametric analysis. Setting: Chile’s Regional Public Hospitals. Interventions: Application of DEA to determine the efficiency of health establishments. There have been many studies in the field of dividends in the last twenty seven years. The aim of this paper is to contrast the Barclay study (1987), and to complement Venkatesh study (1989).In this research, we conclude that, in Chile, contrary to Barclay is conclusion, the share returns, immediately after the date of closing, do not show a drop in the amount of the dividend. Finally, complementing Venkatesh study, we reached the conclusion that the average volatibility of the twenty five day prior to the closing is lower than that of the twenty five days following the closing.

In the last decade, the approaches that have been used from the Social Sciences to address the study of rural reality have been turning from traditional perspectives - fundamentally represented by structuralist approaches, which prioritized the study of economic aspects - to other most innovative, which emphasize the subjects that interact in rural areas and seek, rather than impose certain models, to unravel the meanings and meanings that are part of the increasingly complex reality, giving voice to the inhabitants of these areas with the object of analyzing the impact that the agrarian transformations have implied for the daily life and the subjectivity of the rural population.

Through this study, the performance of cooperative entities in Chile regarding accountability, specifically in the practices of financial report publication, has been assessed. The study focuses on the so-called economically significant cooperatives, employing a mixed research method that combines techniques from qualitative research such as documentary analysis and interviews, along with quantitative research techniques involving the construction of compliance indicators related to accountability. The research spans a period of eight years, from 2015 to 2022. The main finding of the study is that, despite the considerable dynamism in Chile’s institutional framework regulating and promoting cooperative sector activities since 2013, cooperatives exhibit a low level of compliance in terms of publishing their financial statements.

The article analyzes the Franciscan Order of Chile in the independence period, focusing on two units: the Province of the Holy Trinity and the Chillan Mission College. First, we offer a look from historiography and then give way to the voices and actions of some religious in the independence process. The Order had to collaborate with the civil authorities in a climate of war, with either economic donations or facilitating their dependencies to the army. However, another thing is to observe its position in the face of events and the way they channeled it. For this, we have consulted historical documents of the period, emanated from the friars themselves, such as patent letters, letters, circulars, and press writings. In the most remote places in the interior of the province of Antofagasta, the ancient customs and traditions of the Atacameños have been preserved until recent times. The persistence of these traditions became known in 1949 during a visit to the oasis Peine and Dr. Greta Mostny. In May 1957 I had the opportunity to be a visiting researcher at the University of Chile. I spent two weeks in the town of Socaire, accompanied by two assistants from the Center for Anthropological Studies, Messrs. A. Medina and G. Minuzaga, in order to broaden the investigation. Socaire is located to the east of the Salar de Atacama, at an altitude of 3,500 meters. above sea level.

Architects who practicing in Chile during the second half of the 19th century have been poorly documented due to the scarcity of studies on the subject, which generally focus on emblematic works and relevant positions. According to the national census reports of 1865, 1875, 1885, and 1895, "architect" was among the registered professions, but this statistical background has not been addressed in our disciplinary historiography. Through a quantitative analysis of these results, we have obtained an insight into the universe of architects, their expansion, hierarchical centers in the territory, and groups of foreigners by nationality, which allows us to contribute to the knowledge of the practice of the profesión during this period.

Mediante este estudio se ha evaluado el desempeño de las entidades cooperativas en Chile en lo relacionado con la rendición de cuentas, específicamente en lo referente a las prácticas de publicación de informes financieros. Recycling is an environmental practice aimed at the reuse of solid waste that has completed a life cycle and that, due to the formation of microbasurales, requires to be reused in order to reduce the amount of waste in the environment. Considering the relevance of this theme, this article has been prepared that aims to know and describe this educational experience around recycling in the rural school of Chilecito, located in the municipality of Monte Patria, Region of Coquimbo, Chile. This research article aims to find out how the SDGs are reflected in corporate sustainability reports and in which business activities they stand out the most.
