Given the emergence of new and repeated criticisms of private property today, the tendency to question it is reinforced, even with all the ravages it produced in the last century, as is the case in some Latin American territories and in the East. Naturally, this ideological-political conflict has repercussions in Law and in its deepest foundations, that is, in the field of the philosophy of law. In view of this, the present research proposes to review the philosophical foundations that trigger the problem, starting from the premise that private property is not an immoral practice. For this purpose, the historical evolution of the concept is reviewed and it is analyzed whether its repercussions are favorable or unfavorable, to then show the economic benefits it brings with it, and to conclude by arguing that its existence is key to peace and growth in any society.

This article will explain how higher education has some of the necessary tools to combat the elements that prevent “Latin American integration”, a goal that the Cuban philosopher Pablo Guadarrama considers of utmost importance. To do this, first its “transcendental work” in society is valued, how it questions the alienating phenomena of globalization; Consequently, its function in the face of the problem of culture will be analyzed; to finally establish its relationship with historical memory, a key issue to understand the reason for an Integration like Latin America.

In recent years, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility have come closer in academic research, and especially on sustainability indexes. In fact, the most significant indexes handle the matter of corporate governance along with other environmental and social criteria. The purpose of this study is to find out if all the variables included in the corporate governance dimension on the above mentioned indicators are equally relevant and material for both corporate social responsability and corporate governance. To carry out the study, a sample of academics and professionals from Spanish universities and businesses sector was taken. We defend the plausible hypothesis that not all items included within corporate governance dimension on sustainability indexes are homogeneous and interchangeable and, therefore, equally relevant. As a result, the measurements provided by these i...

The concepts of disinformation and misinformation have almost as many meanings as the number of authors who have treated them. Considered from the semiotic and psychological point of view, disinformation and misinformation seem to be the result of the inadequacy of what is communicated to the reality of an object. The focus of both Political Science and Public Relations is set on disinformation / misinformation as an example of how masses and public opinion can be manipulated, while the vision of Communication Sciences and Information considers such behaviours as natural features of the media in a clearly oversaturated communications ecosystem. This paper describes the different approaches to the topic of disinformation/misinformation made in the above mentioned scientific disciplines.

Wendy Brown alerts us of the advance of homo oeconomicus over homo politicus. The daily practices of individuals are governed and shaped by practices that once belonged to the market. The progress of the neoliberal way of life is beginning to conquer the most recondite scenarios of private life. The American philosopher affirms that governance is a form of dissolution of liberal democracies. Governance disseminates an epistemology, an ontology and a set of depoliticizing practices. For its part, neoliberal reason makes use of techniques that are applied for the immediate purpose of solving problems that prevent the optimal functioning of the neoliberal market while volatility dominates human life. The aim of this paper is to analyze Wendy Brown’s theoretical proposal in the described scenario.

To examine the relationship between the concept of justice as an fairness and the veil of ignorance exposed by John Rawls within the transdisciplinarity of ethical pluralism, is transcendental in times where democracy, freedom and social contract are imperceptible tools for the domine doctrine of violence synthesized as neoliberalism. So there are three implications: The first analyzes equitable justice, considering that it is the first virtue of social institutions since the origin of the social contract developed by Hobbes, Locke, and Rousseau with certain structural modifications. The second examines how the original position as an abstract category should be operated under the veil of ignorance which in turn is formulated to ensure the fairness of justice. And the third tracks how ethical pluralism becomes an alternative to the gaps left by the philosopher in treatment, bearing in mi...

“When did art get fucked? Between spectacle and invention in contemporary art”. The monograph offers a reading of Mario Vargas Llosa’s The Spectacle Civilization (2012), with the intention of bringing to light the aesthetic prejudices upon which his criticism of contemporary art is based. For this, we will rely on the thesis stated by the American philosopher and art theorist Larry Shiner, who holds in The Invention of the Art (2001), that the notion we have of art is born from a historical process that defines and determines it, especially from the historical conditions of the economy and society of Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. With this, we pave the way for a serious debate about the current condition of art and culture. Although Vargas Llosa triggered reviews, columns, and round tables in universities and different virtual publications we pretend here an understanding ...
