The use of the Potential Theory to evaluate the Resistance to the Advance of Fishing Ships in waters calms, it is investigated, with the main objective of obtaining comparative results that allow to evaluate the acting of the theoretical method for the use in the process of the preliminary project. The simplicity and speed of the algorithm of the computer provides a valuable tool that can be used to carry out analysis of different types in ways of fine ships, including ships with bulb prow, and to obtain qualitative results at a cost very low. This way the interference of the different parts of the hull can be analyzed and the forms of the ship optimized to obtain a minimum resistance to the advance for formation of waves.

This paper deals with the study of the liability of the owner of the ship in the Peruvian Law. Traditionally, the rules of “Libro” III of the Peruvian Commercial Code have generated some uncertainty about their scope on this matter. This paper proposes an interpretation of the Commercial Code rules that allows to understand them in a coherent way, especially with the context in which they were passed. The many aspects around the liability of the owner of the ship exceed the field of mere civil liability and nowadays the obligations that the owner of the ship assumes under the public regulation constitute a very important aspect for the modern shipping company. For these reasons, the author also proposes a general approach to the “administrative liability” of the owner of the ship considering the most relevant rules of the Peruvian domestic Law and the main international treaties.

This research presents the analysis of port and aquatic management in Peru, on the control and combat of pollution from oil spills from ships; based on a detailed review of the various environmental instruments and international organizations, which promote and promote the exchange of information and technology, to prevent and mitigate socio-environmental and economic risk at the local, national, and regional level, which may compromise its main water resources and aquatic biota. Likewise, the statistics of spills over time are shown, with a total of 922.74 m3 of hydrocarbons discharged, being the aquatic port area of Yurimaguas and Zorritos the one with the greatest impact, considering the response capacity and preparation and the availability of equipment and means available to face these events.

Natural Language Processing deals with the understanding and generation of texts through computer programs. There are many different functionalities used in this area, but among them there are some functions that are the support of the remaining ones. These methods are related to the core processing of the morphology of the language (such as lemmatization) and automatic identification of the part-of-speech tag. Thereby, this paper describes the implementation of a basic NLP toolkit for a new language, focusing in the features mentioned before, and testing them in an own corpus built for the occasion. The obtained results exceeded the expected results and could be used for more complex tasks such as machine translation.

Marine litter on the seafloor has been increasing for several decades. Moreover, shipping routes and fishing ports are considered as affected areas with benthic macro-litter distribution. In Peru, the available information about benthic litter is limited and only originates from cleaning campaigns. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct the first scientific report about benthic macro-litter occurrence and composition distributed in a shipping route of Ancon Bay. For this purpose, a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) was used to evaluate the marine litter composition and distribution at depths between 1 and 25 m.
