With the aim of understanding humor functioning through internet and social network, we will approach memes through a determinate topic: memes about philosophers and thinkers in general since they define a very specific meaning community. We won´t adjust to a single theory, because memes´ multiplicity and their comicalness can´t be submitted by only one way of working or by specific purpose, therefore we will work from different comical concepts, from Baudelaire´s comical and caricature notions, Bajtin´s carnival grotesque concept, passing through Freud´s theories about jokes and laugh, till Bergson, Pirandello and Koestler humor definitions. From the discursive analysis we will try an explanation of how humor works in order to create, to keep and to reinforce social links.

Given the emergence of new and repeated criticisms of private property today, the tendency to question it is reinforced, even with all the ravages it produced in the last century, as is the case in some Latin American territories and in the East. Naturally, this ideological-political conflict has repercussions in Law and in its deepest foundations, that is, in the field of the philosophy of law. In view of this, the present research proposes to review the philosophical foundations that trigger the problem, starting from the premise that private property is not an immoral practice. For this purpose, the historical evolution of the concept is reviewed and it is analyzed whether its repercussions are favorable or unfavorable, to then show the economic benefits it brings with it, and to conclude by arguing that its existence is key to peace and growth in any society.

The relationship between scientific progress and moral progress, the contradictory nature of that relationship, and the question of how to resolve these contradictions, is one of the philosophical and social problems of our time. The great French philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau, is the first to explain the negative influence of science on the moral state of society. His views were paradoxical in various aspects of social progress, however testified to the deep philosophical insight of the great French thinker. Karl Marx was the first to give a scientific explanation of the root causes of contradiction between scientific progress and moral evolution of capitalist society.

System-forming invariants of utopia are analyzed – rationality, criticality, transcendentality, universalism, and projectivity – in the context of post-modern world outlook. The agenda of utopian consciousness is actualized through the statements about the anti-utopian character of post-modernism and the idea of “the end of utopia”, concordant with “the end of history”. The research objective is to prove the prolongation of utopian discourse after the period of modernism on the basis of systemic approach and philosophical conceptions substantiating the qualitative specificity of the modern society. The analysis is based on the correlation between the presence of specific features of utopian consciousness in the world-outlook picture of the world and the viability of the social utopia phenomenon. Each of the system-forming characteristics of utopia is revealed in the contradic...

The objective of this research was to analyze the philosophical foundations of educational policy, between the years 2011 to 2020. The methodology used was a systematic review of a documentary, critical-creative and hermeneutical type, for which different sources of information were reviewed that allowed an analysis regarding the available data on educational policy from the governments of former President Ollanta Humala (2011 - 2016), Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (2016 - 2018) to Martin Vizcarra (2018 - 2020). It is concluded that the philosophical foundations used in governments from 2011 to 2020 are focused on the development of the human being as a whole. As the foundations of this study are essential pillars for the development of educational policy in any country, they are also tools that governments have to get involved in the production and distribution of knowledge in a society.

Within the Peruvian literary canon, Carlos Oquendo de Amat's only poetry book, 5 metros de poemas, has a place of particular importance. However, such work remained on the sidelines for a long time until it would be rediscovered by Mario Vargas Llosa, giving it the relevance it deserved within the Peruvian lyrical course. For this reason, in the present work an approach is made to the first critical receptions to the work of the Peruvian bard, as well as too much more extensive andelaborate works. Likewise, based on the philosophical postulates by Gustavo Bueno (1972), we will analyze and interpret the aforementioned collection of poems, uniting the formal aspects and the content to reveal its meaning; which, in turn, will be related to a critical stance towards society and the place of art and the subject in it.

Almost a full century separates Alice in Wonderland (1865) of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson(who will be referred by his pseudonym, Lewis Carroll) and the second, lengthier and more elaborate edition of Hans Kelsen’s Pure Theory of Law (1960; first edition published in 1934). And yet, it is possible to argue that the former anticipates and critically addresses many of the philosophical assumptions that underlie and are elemental to the argument of the latter. Both texts, with the illuminating differences that arise from their disparate genre, have as one of their key themes norms and their functioning. Wonderland, as Alice soon finds out, is a world beset by rules of all kinds: from the etiquette rituals of the mad tea-party to the changing setting for the croquet game to the procedural insanity of the trial with which the novel ends. Pure Theory of Law, as Kelsen emphatically stresses, has...

Wendy Brown alerts us of the advance of homo oeconomicus over homo politicus. The daily practices of individuals are governed and shaped by practices that once belonged to the market. The progress of the neoliberal way of life is beginning to conquer the most recondite scenarios of private life. The American philosopher affirms that governance is a form of dissolution of liberal democracies. Governance disseminates an epistemology, an ontology and a set of depoliticizing practices. For its part, neoliberal reason makes use of techniques that are applied for the immediate purpose of solving problems that prevent the optimal functioning of the neoliberal market while volatility dominates human life. The aim of this paper is to analyze Wendy Brown’s theoretical proposal in the described scenario.

Educational models have experienced drastic changes in the first decades of the 21st century, influenced by the emergence of new technologies such as ICT and AI. These changes are rooted in the philosophical and anthropological assumptions of postmodernity, marked by the relativization of truth and the emergence of a media society. The research aims to critically analyze contemporary and postmodern education from the perspective of Xavier Zubiri, a Spanish philosopher. Zubiri advocates an approach that recognizes reality as an objective and transcendent entity, leading to a concept of truth based on consistency between reality and human knowledge. This perspective allows us to rethink education as a process that seeks the holistic development of the person, in line with the Greek tradition of paideia. Philosophical hermeneutics is applied as a methodology, focusing on contextualized unde...

This article will explain how higher education has some of the necessary tools to combat the elements that prevent “Latin American integration”, a goal that the Cuban philosopher Pablo Guadarrama considers of utmost importance. To do this, first its “transcendental work” in society is valued, how it questions the alienating phenomena of globalization; Consequently, its function in the face of the problem of culture will be analyzed; to finally establish its relationship with historical memory, a key issue to understand the reason for an Integration like Latin America.

This paper studies the issue of the pandemic and its social, political and economic consequences. Its objective is to analyze the current situation and is based on the compilation and interpretation of philosophical texts. The main contribution of this essay is to criticize the most problematic aspects of capitalism that have come to light as a result of this crisis. Thus, it begins by exposing the control under which human life is currently. In this scenario, authoritarianism looms, destabilizing all possible democracy. Then, the errors of capitalism are shown and, immediately, the evident conflict between vital and economic values that has occurred is reviewed. Finally, the consumerism of this society is analyzed.

In recent years, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility have come closer in academic research, and especially on sustainability indexes. In fact, the most significant indexes handle the matter of corporate governance along with other environmental and social criteria. The purpose of this study is to find out if all the variables included in the corporate governance dimension on the above mentioned indicators are equally relevant and material for both corporate social responsability and corporate governance. To carry out the study, a sample of academics and professionals from Spanish universities and businesses sector was taken. We defend the plausible hypothesis that not all items included within corporate governance dimension on sustainability indexes are homogeneous and interchangeable and, therefore, equally relevant. As a result, the measurements provided by these i...
