In this article, which reproduces the keynote talk presented in September 2019 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Amazonian Anthropology course at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, the author proposes that, from the decade of 2010, Amazonian indigenous peoples have been faced with a new wave of change, this time linked to what the economist Klaus Schwab (2016) has called the «fourth industrial revolution». Its objective is not, however, to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this new industrial revolution, but to explore what are the new directions that Amazonian anthropology could take in the light of this new wave of change. To this end, the author explores six major lines of research, proposing for each of them a series of questions aimed at promoting or guiding future research.

From understanding the limitations that the traditional historiography has had in the anti-clericalism study, the text explores the contributions of father Jeffrey Klaiber for its comprehension, concluding that their investigations helped in a better conceptualization of the phenomenon, proposing new lines for the understanding of the phenomenon in the future. This text can help to get a better historiographic knowledge of the Peruvian anti-clericalism of the 19th century.

A partir de entender las limitaciones que la historiografía tradicional ha tenido en el estudio del anticlericalismo, el texto explora los aportes del padre Jeffrey Klaiber para su comprensión, concluyendo que sus investigaciones ayudaron a una mejor conceptualización del fenómeno, planteando líneas novedosas para el entendimiento del fenómeno al futuro. Este texto puede servir para un mejor conocimiento de la historiografía sobre el anticlericalismo peruano del siglo XIX.

The primary aim of this study is to examine the development of the academic field of tourism history, particularly in Peru, by describing its formation and highlighting the key authors and works that have contributed to its emergence. Additionally, we present the contributions of a group of texts accompanying this journal issue. It is concluded that, as a nascent research field, there is a need for deeper exploration of certain essential themes. Incorporating new lines of research is pertinent.

From the point of view of a contemporary Kula Ring ethnographer, this paper surveys Malinowski’s heritage, sums up the current state of Kula Ring research, and asks of the status of the ethnographic research heritage Malinowski did much to define. All recent Kula Ring anthropologists partly define themselves with respect to Malinowski’s tradition. And the results of their work over the last 50 years again made the region central to the discipline for part of the recent past. But today Malinowski’s Trobriand corpus is being redefined. New lines of inquiry are contributing to our understanding of the area. And Malinowski’s methods have fertilized other portions of our social system and branches for self-reflection. As it should be, what Malinowski helped define is very much with us.

The exporting commercial projection of a country implies recognizing the importance of trade as well as competition or other supplier countries that seek to supply the same target market. To compete a country must diversify its production matrix, which is why it must increase its production and add new lines of business. A sector that has expectations in Peru is agriculture that is diversifying by the expectations of investors. The proposal is that the State must act in a coordinated manner with all sectors as an agent that allows knowing how much support is needed to be able to compete and the resources that are necessary over time. Participation should favor all agents that participate directly, including the State and small farmers. The competition, the diversification and the importance of the productive agents is what the article seeks to expose.

The objective of this article is to analyze the scientific production published in Guatemala on migration, between 2011 and 2020, in order to establish a starting point towards a new path in national research. For this purpose, the journals with topics related to the social sciences and humanities, hosted in the Portal de Revistas de Guatemala of the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, were used as a frame of reference, resulting in the review a total of 1030 scientific articles. The migration of creators from other platforms and the emergence of new lines of content are contributing to the thematic diversification of Twitch.tv beyond its leadership in gaming. This article explores the potential for collaboration, education, and creation of live-streaming platforms by analyzing the online coworking experience of the JaimeAltozano ‘working room’ on Twitch, launched after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. An initiative that gathered 222,172 hours worked by the community in three months. Using a mixed methods research design, the experience was studied on the basis of quantitative data, 67 in-depth interviews with users and ethnographic techniques for content analysis. El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo hacer una revisión de la bibliografía producida por autores peruanos acerca de la migración china en el Perú, trataré de periodizar y ubicar a los autores de acuerdo a su concepción y su metodología. Para su elaboración me inspiré en el artículo de Isabelle Lausent-Herrera “Les Chinois du Pérou: Publications et recherches péruviennes” (1877-1994) aparecido en la Revue Bibliographique de Sinologie en 1994. Esta investigadora de origen francés, ha cubierto los diferentes aspectos de la inmigración china en el Perú y su copiosa producción no ha tenido la debida difusión, Lausent, ha establecido hitos en el impulso de la investigación tesis “Pequeña propiedad, poder y economía de mercado: Acos valle de Chancay” en 1983 por el IEP.
