Our objective is the prediction of poker hands, the probability that you can draw a good hand when you make 5 steals from a 52-card poker deck. We apply neural networks to make this prediction together with different libraries that help the process is more simplified and the results are more reliable, therefore in the use of this methodology we managed to obtain an average of 97% in most cases with a deviation of 2.5% which we consider acceptable due to the very unbalanced amount of the data from this dataset, therefore this artificial intelligence method helps us predict new hands and make better decisions as you find yourself in a game situation.

This study investigates violence against women and girls (VAWG) along the Texas-Mexico border through the lens of the news published in newspapers: MyRGV in McAllen (Texas), the El Paso Times in El Paso (Texas), El Mañana de Reynosa in Tamaulipas (Mexico), and El Heraldo de Juárez in Ciudad Juárez (Mexico). It employs a mixed-method approach, conducting quantitative content analysis and qualitative framing analysis. The findings reveal that Mexican newspapers primarily chose to publish stories about murder as the main crime against women and girls, while Texas newspapers focused on sexual violence. Mexican newspapers also covered immigration-related VAWG. Female journalists in Mexico often connected crimes with psychological trauma. Texas newspapers employed episodic framing and victim-blaming, whereas Mexican newspapers framed stories in a victim-supporting manner. Texas news...

This paper examines the cultural identity expressed by The XII Travelers Memorial of the Southwest in El Paso, Texas, USA. According to the monument’sstatement, the memorial is an ongoing regional project formed by “... 12 heroic bronze monuments celebrating the multicultural contributions of both men and women to the development of the Southwest.” The paper’s argument is threefold. First, it argues that the XII Travelers project could be regarded as a collage that incorporates different historical and cultural references into a single narrative. Secondly, by doing this, the memorial blurs spatial scales and builds a regional history with El Paso at its center. Finally, the paper suggests that the construction of this heroic and multiculturalregional identity must be understood in relation to growing tourist activities and the expectations that visitors have about a Southern bord...
