Este libro, si bien ya con tres años de publicado, merece una lectura atenta. Compilación de trabajos de varios autores latinoamericanos dedicados a la televisión, especialmente a la televisión pública, sirve en parte para entender la situación actual de este medio en la región, en parte para imaginarse nuevas formas de televisión, y también, quizá de manera más destacada , para percibir el giro que el pensamiento crítico sobre medios ha tomado en América Latina.

Esta investigación presenta una propuesta de lineamientos para contar con una televisión pública que privilegie los contenidos de interés social, cultural y político de todos los peruanos, una televisión con una forma de conceptualización diferente de la de los medios privados en cuanto a composición y organización, así como en lo concerniente a los fines que persiguen. Para ello se requiere independencia funcional, ingresos predecibles o esperados y un buen gobierno corporativo. Para tener medios públicos viables, necesitamos darles continuidad en el tiempo y credibilidad de acción. La única manera de lograrlo es a través de un sistema de gerencia que mire al largo plazo, y tenga la suficiente independencia para proponer una manera distinta de comunicación, más interesante para los distintos públicos y no basada en visiones estrechas. Los ingresos que obtenga el radiodifusor público deberían ser para el mismo radiodifusor. Pero aún más importante, debería haber apoyo financiero público.

Los objetivos de la investigación están enmarcados en identificar cuáles son los factores limitantes que condicionan el valor público en la televisión de servicio público TV Perú. Con ello, se busca promover los lineamientos de su desarrollo y hacer posible que se planeen propuestas que permitan el crecimiento y fortalecimiento de dicha institución. El enfoque del presente estudio tiene como metodología principal la entrevista en profundidad a expertos y la investigación documental. Asimismo, se anexa el guion utilizado para dirigir los diálogos con los expertos que han participado.

El seminario “Democracia y Televisión”, organizado por IDEA Internacional, fue un espacio de encuentro atípico, porque logró reunir durante dos días a académicos de la comunicación social, periodistas, congresistas en actividad, investigadores, estudiantes de comunicación, así como invitados internacionales vinculados al mundo de la televisión. Su propósito fue abrir el debate sobre el funcionamiento de la televisión de señal abierta en el Perú, prestando especial énfasis al rol que tiene este medio en el fortalecimiento de la ciudadanía, los procesos electorales y la preservación de un Estado de Derecho.

El presente trabajo de investigación es un avance de tesis de licenciatura en el cual se busca conocer cuál fue el tratamiento informativo en un canal de televisión pública sobre un caso de feminicidio desde una propuesta de enfoque de género. La presente investigación da a conocer los resultados del análisis de una muestra representativa entre abril y junio del 2018 analizadas desde un cuadro de análisis del contenido con el que se permite medir los elementos con los que fueron elaboradas estas noticias televisivas. Se utilizaron en este estudio 13 noticias televisivas. Los resultados de la presente investigación muestran que las noticias fueron publicadas con escasa investigación y uso de fuentes informativas.

Guaranteeing access for people with disabilities to audiovisual content is essential to achieve the objectives of quality of life and full equality of opportunities. In effect, in 2009 this link is terminated and a process of re-nacionalization of the station begins which will highlight the tensions between the constitution of a public service or the government´s use of the only air television channel. In this context, we analyze these policies according to three dimensions: the constitution of the control and management organs, the programming and the financing.

The talk show is an omnipresent genre on television schedules, although not the most successful with regard to ratings. This article rebuilds the recent history of its production on Televisión Española and analyzes its main features as a genre following an inductive research methodology. In conclusion the talk show has a great capacity for hybridization and adaptation as it can be found in all kinds of programs and diverse genres. Although there are no great differences between talk shows produced by private channels and the public broadcaster, given its commercial foundations, TVE has opted to a greater extent for formulas such as interviews and debates, and to a lesser extent for testimonial TV shows.

“Águila Roja”, Globomedia’s TV series broadcasted by the Spanish public national wide television TVE (Televisión Española), has been turned into an interesting audience phenomenon in the last years in Spain; that’s the reason why it has been made a distributive audience research, a way to make inquiries about this TV series evolution from February 2009 to January 2012 with audience’s average, golden minute and share data comparisons by seasons and episodes. At the same time this information has been set in the environment in which the episodes were broadcasted to get a global wide vision.

This research contributes to the study of the privatization processes experienced by public audiovisual media in a context of digital convergence. We conducted a case study of 7 TV, which was carried out by means of document analysis complemented with in-depth interviews. The goal is to analyze a regional public television, examining whether the complete privatization of this public service has promoted its digitalization, improving its transparency and accountability, and favoring citizens’ participation in decision-making. The main finding is that, despite being aware of the changes that must be undertaken to face the imminent transformation of the audiovisual sector, 7 TV is in an incipient phase of this process, anchored to a conservative production and distribution system that produces modest initiatives and where citizens’ participation is highly limited.

Dado el inminente fin de la televisión analógica en un mediano plazo y el consecuente advenimiento de la televisión digital en nuestro país, el Gobierno del Perú, a través del Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones, debe establecer no solo el estándar tecnológico que dé paso a la nueva televisión, sino, sobre todo, los lineamientos de asignación de nuevas frecuencias, descentralización de los operadores, marco legal y rol de la televisión pública. Este conjunto de líneas tienen como objeto dar lugar a una televisión, tanto privada como pública, de mejor calidad.

La presente investigación estudia la relación entre la cobertura periodística de noticias policiales con la audiencia del noticiero Edición Noche de TVPerú, que se emite de lunes a domingo en la cadena de televisión pública del país. El objetivo principal fue determinar cómo se relaciona la cobertura periodística de noticias policiales con la audiencia del noticiero Edición Noche de TVPerú, 2022. Para ello, a nivel metodológico se aplicó el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico correlacional y diseño no experimental. El instrumento para la recolección de datos fue el cuestionario, el mismo que se aplicó a 381 televidentes del noticiero Edición Noche, quienes respondieron a 23 preguntas.
