Al día de hoy el reporte de muertes ha disminuido considerablemente, pero se continúa observando secuelas físicas y psicológicas que perduran con el tiempo y guardan relación a la gravedad de la enfermedad. Dentro de las secuelas físicas se observa disminución de la tolerancia al ejercicio y en el campo de la Salud mental se reportan casos de ansiedad y depresión post COVID – 19. Es así que este estudio considera importante realizar la investigación titulada “Salud mental y la tolerancia al ejercicio en los pacientes post COVID – 19 del Centro Médico Municipal de Cajabamba, 2022”. El método que utilizará este estudio será el hipotético deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, no experimental. La variable Salud mental medirá la percepción ansiedad y depresión mediante la Escala Hospitalaria de Ansiedad y depresión (HADS), y la variable tolerancia al ejercicio será medida con la Prueba de caminata de 6 minutos (PC6M), ambos instrumentos de evaluación de buena validez y confiabilidad
