description El documento abarca la investigación y desarrollo de un centro intergeneracional, espacio que promueve la revaloración del adulto mayor y su reintegración en la sociedad, a través de la conexión con otras generaciones, en este caso con niños, para crear lazos amicales y una familia extendida. El proyecto se planea desarrollar en el distrito de Cajamarca, lugar que junto a otras provincias del departamento del mismo nombre, atraviesan momentos críticos en el aspecto económico-social, dejando en estado de vulnerabilidad tanto a adultos mayores como niños. Asimismo, cabe añadir que la situación de las personas de la tercera edad es cada vez más preocupante por su acelerado crecimiento poblacional y por el déficit de espacios propicios para su resguardo. Ante estas circunstancias, surge la idea de que el centro intergeneracional comprenda de una residencia y centro de día para el adulto mayor, además de un espacio para el cuidado infantil, de manera que se puedan brindar ambientes de protección, recreación y aprendizaje de las personas más vulnerables. Conviene señalar que, para lograr el objetivo de un centro intergeneracional, la propuesta será de una arquitectura con énfasis en espacios intermedios, la cual otorgará ambientes idóneos que ayudarán a conectar a personas de distintos grupos etarios, logrando la noción principal del proyecto.

The project is planned to be developed in Cajamarca district, a place that, together with other provinces of the department of the same name, are going through critical moments in the economic-social aspect, leaving both the elderly and children in a state of vulnerability. Likewise, it should be added that the situation of the elderly is increasingly worrying due to their accelerated population growth and the lack of suitable spaces for their protection. Given these circumstances, the idea arises that the intergenerational center comprises a residence and day center for the elderly, as well as a space for child care, so that protection, recreation and learning environments can be provided for people most vulnerable.
