Los resultados mostraron que el factor de Orientación Social de la variable Religiosidad presentó una correlación débil y significativa con la variable Depresión, mientras que el factor de Orientación Personal no mostró una correlación con la Depresión; rechazando así la hipótesis planteada. Asimismo, se obtiene resultados de las correlaciones entre las variables según las variables sociodemográficas. Se discuten las implicancias y sugerencias para futuras investigaciones.

The sample consisted of 150 older adults, 88 women and 62 men; age range of the individual was 65 to 90 years (average of 77.84 years) from Peru. Participantes were assessed with Age universal I-E 12 (Simkim & Etchezahar, 2013) and Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15) (Gómez-Angulo & Campo-Arias, 2011). The results revealed that the Social Religious Orientation has a weak and significant correlation with Depression, while Personal Religious Orientation has no significant correlation with Depression; thus resorting in rejecting the hypothesis raised. Likewise, results of the correlations between the variables according to the socio-demographic record were obtained.
