It is almost certain that you will, at some point, be a member of an organization and have to deal with the complexities of human behavior. You will be dependent on others in order to accomplish goals and projects. More importantly, you will have to work for other people, work with other people, and lead other people. As an individual employee, a team member, or a manager, knowledge of human behavior in organizations is essential. I hope to make the class as interesting and engaging as possible to help you grasp course content. To do so, this course uses readings, lectures, exercises, cases, film clips, team assignments, and class discussion. Engagement, however, is a two way street, and requires that you have an active investment in the course. I have high expectations that you complete readings prior to listening to the lectures, complete all assignments on time, and prepare to contribute to the class discussion. Each of you brings unique perspectives and experiences to the class; participation is essential to not only your learning, but the learning of your fellow classmates. Even though this is an online course, with everyone¿s efforts, we can ensure it still feels as though we are in class together.
