This proposal allows users to schedule their medical appointments in a private health institution according to their needs through the following phases: 1) Capture and storage of personal data, 2) Capture of search parameters, and 3) Scheduling of medical appointments. The preliminary case study of the proposal was carried out by collecting a sample of 60 patients, aged between 17 and 65 years of both sexes, who booked medical appointments in an outpatient specialty. The results were compared with the data collected in the SUSALUD user satisfaction survey and with our own survey conducted prior to the solution's implementation. This study effectively optimized medical care waiting time by 54.5%. However, this article contains the preliminary phase of this research. Therefore, it should be considered for future research and address upcoming studies in this critical area.application/htmlengSpringer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbHinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessAppointment schedulingmedical appointmentOutpatient waiting timehttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.00.00Technological Solution to Optimize Outpatient Waiting Time for Medical Care Between Multiple Private Healthcare Institutions – A Preliminary Researchinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a398Communications in Computer and Information Science1935 CCIS182192reponame:UPC-Institucionalinstname:Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadasinstacron:UPCPublicationLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain; charset=utf-81748https://upc.dspace7.openrepository.com/bitstreams/d7ed4bc2-53c7-5fba-994d-996c725a9053/download8a4605be74aa9ea9d79846c1fba20a33MD5110757/675762oai:upc.dspace7.openrepository.com:10757/6757622026-02-17 17:40:10.937metadata.onlyhttps://upc.dspace7.openrepository.comRepositorio académico upcrepositorioacademico@upc.edu.pe
