Por medio de un diagnóstico histórico del sistema de gestión de la unidad minera se determinó la estructura del Sistema de Gestión de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (SGSST), y los niveles de accidentabilidad de los trabajadores a través de los índices de severidad y frecuencia de accidentes. Con el fin de reducir el Índice de Accidentabilidad (IA) se propuso implementar nuevos índices como inspecciones planeadas, reportes de actos y condiciones, sistemas de acciones de mejora y mini auditorias; los cuales son recogidos bajo el concepto de Índice Básico de Involucramiento (IBI) que primordialmente involucran a la línea de supervisión. Esta implementación de indicadores de desempeño en la supervisión mejoró la gestión de la prevención y el SGSST dando como resultado un mayor cumplimiento en el IBI por encima de 80% en el periodo de enero a octubre del año 2022, y una reducción significativa del IA desde el mes de mayo hasta octubre. Por lo tanto, el resultado de esta tesis permitió mejorar el sistema de gestión de salud y seguridad en el trabajo, involucrando a la línea de supervisión en la empresa minera. Así mismo, permitió disminuir los accidentes laborales en la unidad minera.

Así mismo, permitió disminuir los accidentes laborales en la unidad minera.The objectives of this thesis are to implement indicators linked to the performance of the occupational health and safety management system of a mining company and to evaluate the results of the indicators implemented on the accident rate of workers with respect to the year studied and previous ones. By means of a historical diagnosis of the management system of the mining unit, the structure of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) is extinguished, and the levels of worker accidents through the severity indices and accident frequency. In order to reduce the Accident Rate (AI), new indices will be implemented such as planned inspection, reports of acts and conditions, improvement action systems and mini audits; which are collected under the concept of Basic Involvement Index (IBI) that basically involve the line of supervision. This implementation of performance indicators in supervision improved the management of prevention and the SGSST, resulting in greater compliance in the IBI above 80% in the period from January to October 2022, and a significant reduction in the IA from the month of May until October. Therefore, the result of this thesis allowed to improve the health and safety management system at work, involving the line of supervision in the mining company.
