description La presente revisión de literatura propone describir los beneficios de la implementación de las 5’s en la industria manufacturera, para tal fin se recopiló 50 artículos de revistas indexadas a bases de datos como Scopus, Latindex, Crosreff, Ebsco, Dialnet, Redalyc, entre otros; que fueron publicados en idioma ingles y español, y entre los años 2017 y el 2022. Del análisis de contenido quedó establecido que la implementación de la metodología en todos los casos mejora la productividad, además de mejorar la seguridad del entorno de trabajo, reduce los costos, la accidentabilidad, mejora las relaciones humanas en el trabajo, incrementa el compromiso y propicia un ambiente amigable de trabajo. Asimismo, ha sido incluida como herramienta principal y base para la implementación del Lean Manufacturing y el TPM, pero interactúa muy bien con otras herramientas como la Gestiòn de Almacenes, Kayzen, SMED, Estudio del Trabajo, Layout, VSM, SIPOC entre otras.
