La información sobre esta enfermedad aún es limitada, por lo que este estudio busca determinar la tendencia de publicaciones sobre la ALD-X. Se realizó un análisis bibliométrico con la base de datos de SCOPUS hasta 2023, obteniendo un total de 1665 artículos, la mayoría en inglés, proviniendo principalmente de Estados Unidos. Se identificaron a S. Kemp, H.W. Mosser y P. Aubourg como los autores con mayor número de artículos y colaboraciones y a la Universidad de Amsterdam como la Institución con mayor número de artículos.
