Con la recolección de datos de los valores de carga viral, nos ayudara a evaluar el grado del control de estos pacientes y su relación directa con el estado de deterioro cognitivo y así tener una visión más amplia para poder abordar este problema al cual nos enfrentamos diariamente. Actualmente se conoce la asociación entre el deterioro cognitivo y la carga viral, en nuestro contexto no está claro en qué medida una deficiente adherencia al tratamiento predispone al desarrollo de deterioro cognitivo en pacientes con VIH.
