The descriptive research, correlational design, was aimed at establishing the correlation between the perception of teacher performance and mathematics performance in the second grade students of an educational institution of Callao. The nonrandom sample available type consisted of 63 students from 6 to 9 years. Questionnaire was used for teacher performance, Valdés (2004), adapted by the researcher from the perceptions of students, valid (972 **) and reliability (.775 **) acceptable, and to measure performance were recorded mathematician grades earned in a math test of the Ministry of Education. The research results demonstrate the existence of a significant relationship (r = 0.684 **) between perceived teacher performance with its dimensions: efficiency, educational process, decision making, methodological guidelines and mathematical performance variable.
