description El trabajo de investigación “Propiedades de las mezclas asfálticas y su incidencia en el ahuellamiento” tuvo como objetivo determinar las propiedades de la mezcla asfáltica y su incidencia en el ahuellamiento, para ello se han extraído data de tesis de referencias para comparar una mezcla asfáltica convencional y modificada. La investigación fue aplicada, con enfoque cuantitativo, a nivel descriptivo, y de diseño experimental y transversal. La población de la investigación correspondió a todos los pavimentos flexibles de diseño convencional, teniendo como muestra los ensayos Marshall y de rueda cargada de Hamburgo. Finalmente se concluyó que las propiedades de vacíos de aire, vacíos llenos de asfáltico y fluencia de una mezcla asfáltica (MAC) en caliente inciden en la aparición del fenómeno del ahuellamiento en un pavimento.
