description La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo; determinar la diferencia entre el nivel de desempeño docente en zonas rural y urbana de La Libertad 2024; basada en una investigación cuantitativa, de finalidad básica, nivel descriptivo comparativo, diseño no experimental, transversal con una muestra no probabilística de 328 padres, de los cuales 205 eran docentes de la zona rural y 123 de la zona urbana, se aplicó un cuestionario para medir los niveles de desempeño docente el mismo que fue aprobado a juicio de expertos y con una confiabilidad de ,980, se encontró que en base a la prueba U de Mann-Whitney el coeficiente de significancia (sig.) fue de 0.000 siendo menor a 0.05, confirmando que existen diferencias significativas en la variable desempeño docente, para ambos escenarios; urbano y rural, se concluye que existe diferencia entre el desempeño docente en zonas rural y urbana de La Libertad 2024
