La población estuvo conformada por 191 estudiantes de 4° y 5° año del nivel secundario, de ambos sexos; que cumplieron con los criterios previstos. Para la recolección de datos se aplicaron 2 cuestionarios, uno para medir el nivel de conocimiento sobre sexualidad y el otro el comportamiento sexual. Los resultados obtenidos fueron que el 10.5% de los adolescentes presentaron un nivel de conocimiento alto, el 53.9% un nivel de conocimiento medio y el 35.6% un nivel bajo; en relación al comportamiento sexual, el 97.9% de los adolescentes mostraron un comportamiento no riesgoso y el 2.1% un comportamiento riesgoso. Según el nivel de conocimiento y comportamiento sexual en los adolescentes, solo el 1.1% de adolescentes con comportamiento bajo presentaron comportamientos de riesgo y de los 53.9% de adolescentes con conocimiento medio, el 52.8% presento comportamiento no riesgoso. Se logró determinar que existe una baja relación estadísticamente significativa p=0.000, demostrando que el conocimiento y el comportamiento sexual no están relacionados (P=-0.122 > 0.05)

The population was made up of 191 4th grade students. and 5th year of secondary level, of both sexes; that met the expected criteria. For data collection, 2 questionnaires were applied, one to measure the level of knowledge about sexuality and the other sexual behavior. The results obtained were that 10.5% of the adolescents presented a high level of knowledge, 53.9% a medium level of knowledge and 35.6% a low level; In relation to sexual behavior, 97.9% of adolescents showed non-risky behavior and 2.1% showed risky behavior.
