Resultados: La frecuencia de obesidad en pacientes con acné severo fue de 37%. La frecuencia de obesidad en pacientes con acné no severo fue de 20%. La obesidad es factor de riesgo para acné severo con un odds ratio de 2.45 el cual fue significativo (p<0.05). Sin embargo, la hipertrigliceridemia e hipercolesterolemia no fueron estadísticamente significativas en el grupo de pacientes con acné severo, debido a que en el análisis por chi cuadrado se encuentra que no son factores asociados a severidad en pacientes con acné (p>0.05). Conclusión: La obesidad es factor de riesgo para severidad en pacientes con acné atendidos en el Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray

Results: The frequency of obesity in patients with severe acne was 37%. The frequency of obesity in patients with non-severe acne was 20%. Obesity is a risk factor for severe acne with an odds ratio of 2.45 which was significant (p <0.05).
