El mejor punto de corte de la razón neutrófilo linfocito en la predicción de perforación en apendicitis aguda fue de 7,7. La exactitud pronostica de la razón neutrófilo linfocito en la predicción de perforación en apendicitis aguda fue de 75%. Conclusiones: La razón neutrófilo linfocito es un factor predictor de perforación apendicular en pacientes con apendicitis aguda en el Hospital Regional de Trujillo.

Material and methods: Retrospective, observational, diagnostic study of 230 patients with acute appendicitis. We calculated the sensitivity, specificity, and positive predictive value, negative. The chi square test was applied and the area under the curve was determined for neutrophil lymphocyte ratio. Results: There were no significant differences in age, gender, origin, diabetes mellitus or arterial hypertension among patients with acute perforated or unperforated appendicitis (p <0.05). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio in the prediction of perforation in acute appendicitis was 89%; 52%; 48%; 91%. The best cut-off point of the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio in the prediction of perforation in acute appendicitis was 7,7. The predictive accuracy of the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio in the prediction of perforation in acute appendicitis was 75%.
