description Objetivo: Determinar los factores que influyen en el nivel de conocimiento de higiene bucal en estudiantes de derecho de la universidad Privada Antenor Orrego. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio de investigación básica y correlacional, de diseño descriptivo, observacional en una muestra de 261 estudiantes de la carrera de derecho del 7mo, 8vo, 9no y 10mo ciclo, a los cuales se les aplicó un cuestionario construido sobre los factores que influyen en el nivel de conocimiento de higiene bucal, respecto a las variables y co-variables que fueron edad, ciclo académico y hábitos. Se hizo uso de la prueba de chi cuadrado; y se contó con el apoyo de una hoja de cálculo de Microsoft Excel y el programa estadístico SPSS-26. Resultados: La edad y los hábitos si son factores que influyen en el nivel de conocimiento de la higiene bucal con un valor de significancia de (p=0.033 y p=0.0001) menores de 0.05, y el factor ciclo no influye siendo su valor de (0.092>0.05). El valor predominante de los estudiantes evaluados (36.78%) presentó un Nivel de Conocimiento suficiente sobre higiene bucal y según la data sociodemográfica de los hábitos de higiene oral el 39.46% respondieron acertadamente. Conclusión: Los factores que influyen en el nivel de conocimiento de higiene bucal son la edad, los hábitos y el nivel de conocimiento de la higiene bucal en estudiantes de derecho de la universidad Privada Antenor Orrego fue suficiente

Materials and Methods: This study was a basic and relational type of research, with a descriptive, observational design in a sample of 261 law students of the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th cycle, to whom a questionnaire built on the knowledge of factors that influence the level of knowledge of oral hygiene in law students, with respect to the variables that were age, academic cycle and habits. For this, the chi square test was used; and it was supported by a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and the SPSS-26 statistical program. Results: Age and habits are factors that influence the level of knowledge of oral hygiene with a significance value of (p=0.033 and p=0.0001) less than 0.05, and the cycle factor does not influence, its value being ( 0.092>0.05). The predominant value of the students evaluated (36.78%) presented a sufficient level of knowledge about oral hygiene and according to the sociodemographic data of oral hygiene habits, 39.46% responded correctly.
