Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre el estigma alto y la baja adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en adultos con VIH en el hospital Las Mercedes, 2022. Diseño metodológico: Se llevó a cabo un estudio observacional, de diseño no experimental-transversal y analítico, para una muestra de 283 atendidos en el hospital Las mercedes, Chiclayo-Lambayeque durante el año 2022 en los meses de setiembre - noviembre, cuyo diagnóstico es VIH/SIDA que tienen la edad entre 18 – 80 años. Procedimiento: Se recopilaron los datos sociodemográficos, de conducta y orientación sexual y socioeconómicos, además se aplicó la escala de Berger para estigma relacionada a VIH previamente validada en el Perú y para la adherencia al tratamiento se usó la medición simplificada (SMAQ). Se realizaron análisis estadísticos descriptivos y la técnica multivariado regresión logística y Chi cuadrado como pruebas de asociación. Resultados: La asociación entre el estigma asociada la VIH y la adherencia, en los pacientes de estigma mínima fue de 3,5%, en el estigma alto 66.9% y la mayor prevalencia de no adherencia de nivel alto fue de 73.2%, observando el valor de asociación con p<0.01. Además, mediante el análisis de la regresión logística se obtuvo las variables de riesgo como edad (categoría adulto mayor, p<0,01, odds=18.234) y relación de estado de pareja (p<0.01, odds=2.024). Conclusión: En el estudio se evidenció una asociación significativa entre el nivel de estigma y adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en adultos con VIH, en un hospital II-2,2022. |

Methodological design: An observational, non-experimental-transversal and analytical design study was carried out for a sample of 283 patients attended at Las Mercedes hospital, Chiclayo-Lambayeque during the year 2022 in the months of September - November, whose diagnosis is HIV/AIDS and whose age is between 18 - 80 years old. Procedure: Sociodemographic, behavioral, sexual orientation and socioeconomic data were collected, as well as the Berger scale for HIV-related stigma previously validated in Peru, and the simplified measurement (SMAQ) was used for adherence to treatment. Descriptive statistical analysis and multivariate logistic regression and Chi-square were used as tests of association. Results: The association between HIV-associated stigma and adherence, in patients with minimal stigma was 3.5%, in high stigma 66.9% and the prevalence of high-level non-adherence was 73.2%, observing the association value with p<0.01. In addition, by means of logistic regression analysis, the risk variables such as age (older adult category, p<0.01, odds=18.234) and relationship status relationship (p<0.01, odds=2.024) were obtained.
