Hospital Belén de Trujillo, 2016; se realizó una investigación de tipo cualitativo diseño fenomenológico en 12 obstetras, 4 ginecólogos y 4 residentes de Ginecología, los cuales fueron seleccionados a través de la estrategia bola de nieve, a quienes se les aplico una entrevista a profundidad; construyeron sus respuestas en forma de historia, diálogo o descripción. Se encontró que; el personal de salud que participo de la investigación tiene limitado conocimiento sobre eventos adversos; identifican a los desgarros, hemorragias, infecciones y dehiscencias como los tipos de eventos adversos más comunes; para el personal de salud una de las causas principales de los eventos es el error humano, así como problemas en los procesos de admisión y organización del hospital. El personal de salud que participó de la investigación manifiesta que en caso de haber ocasionado un evento adverso grave asumiría su responsabilidad, el asumir su responsabilidad para los entrevistados es asumir los gastos de recuperación. Así mismo ante la ocurrencia de un evento adverso grave los profesionales recomiendan que debe intervenirse al personal implicado, anunciando que si el problema se presenta de manera reiterativa acudirían a las instancias pertinentes. Sin embargo, algunos mencionaron que no denunciarían el evento adverso para así evitar perjudicar al compañero de trabajo. Argumentan que la mejor estrategia de prevención es la capacitación y algunos mencionan realizar una adecuada atención prenatal.

Trujillo’s Belen Hospital, 2016; it was conducted a qualitative study with phenomenological design among 12 obstetricians, 4 obstetrician-gynecologists and 4 Obstetrics and Gynecology Residents, who were selected trough the snowball technique and whom a depth interview was conducted, they made their answers like a story, dialogue or description. It was found that the health staff that participated on the survey has limited knowledge about Adverse Events, they identify cervical strokes, haemorrhages, infections and dehiscences as the most common adverse events; for the health staff one of principal causes of these events is the human error, moreover the problems at admission process and hospital organization. The health staff that participated in this research affirms that in case of they cause a serious adverse event , they would assume its responsability, to assume the responsability for the interviewed means to assume economically the treatment. Also, if an adverse event occurs , health professionals recommend to process the specific person , announcing that if the problem happens repetitively, they would go to specific autorithies. However, some mentioned that they wouldn’t report it in order to avoid harming a colleague.
