La población estuvo conformada por 10 trabajadores del área contable y administrativa de la empresa, a quienes se les aplicó un cuestionario en escala Likert, y se complementó con un análisis documental. Los resultados arrojaron un coeficiente de correlación de Spearman de 0.876 (p=0.001), demostrando una relación positiva y significativa entre la aplicación de la norma y la gestión de inventarios. Las dimensiones de la Sección 13 (costos de inventario, medición e información a revelar) también mostraron correlaciones significativas. En conclusión, se confirmó que la aplicación de la Sección 13 de las NIIF optimiza la gestión de inventarios al ofrecer un marco estructurado que mejora el control de existencias, reduce riesgos y fortalece la fiabilidad de la información financiera. Finalmente, el estudio destaca que la implementación de esta normativa es clave para la competitividad y sostenibilidad de las empresas locales, impulsando una gestión más eficiente y técnica.

A quantitative methodology was used, characterized as basic, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional. The population consisted of 10 employees from the accounting and administrative departments of the company, to whom a Likert-scale questionnaire was applied, complemented by document analysis. The results showed a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.876 (p=0.001), demonstrating a positive and significant relationship between the application of the standard and inventory management. The dimensions of Section 13 (inventory costs, measurement, and disclosure) also showed significant correlations. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the application of Section 13 of the IFRS optimizes inventory management by providing a structured framework that improves stock control, reduces risks, and strengthens the reliability of financial information.
