La muestra estuvo conformada por 13 cursos virtuales impartidos a estudiantes de la carrera de ciencias de la comunicación. De cada curso de la muestra se ha identificado la competencia digital del docente que lo dicta; y el nivel de rendimiento académico del estudiante que lo lleva, haciendo uso de la Autoevaluación de las Competencias Digitales de los Docentes y de la Escala de Rendimiento Académico Universitario – RAU, respectivamente. La prueba de correlación (Rho de Spearman) entre las variables arrojó un coeficiente de -0.18 y un valor p de 0.57, y dado que este valor es mayor a 0.05, se rechazó la hipótesis de correlación. El resultado fue similar al correlacionar Competencia digital docente con las tres dimensiones de Rendimiento académico (p = 0.98, 0.28 y 0.80). Se concluyó en que no existe correlación entre Competencia digital docente y Rendimiento académico en estudiantes de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, en 2023. Estos resultados muestran la complejidad del rendimiento académico, que no dependería exclusivamente de la competencia digital de los docentes sino se vería influenciada por otras variables, que deberán tenerse en cuenta en futuros estudios relacionados con esta problemática

The study was developed under a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, transversal, correlational design. The sample was made up of 13 virtual courses taught to first-year students studying communication sciences. For each course in the sample, the digital competence of the teacher who teaches it has been identified; and the level of academic performance of the student who wears it, using the Self Assessment of Teachers' Digital Competencies and the University Academic Performance Scale – RAU, respectively. The correlation test (Spearman's Rho) between the variables showed a coefficient of -0.18 and a p value of 0.57, and since this value is greater than 0.05, the correlation hypothesis was rejected. The result was similar when correlating teaching digital competence with the three dimensions of academic performance (p = 0.98, 0.28 and 0.80). It was concluded that there is no correlation between teaching digital competence and academic performance in students at the Antenor Orrego Private University, in 2023.
