Los datos se recogieron mediante cuestionarios estandarizados para la evaluación del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas (ASSIST) y el Inventario de Ansiedad de Beck (BAI). Los resultados indicaron que el (30,1%) tienen regular ansiedad y el (31,9%) alta, las sustancias más consumidas son el alcohol (76,5%) y el tabaco (68,7%). Existe relación entre el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y la ansiedad (coeficientes) a niveles de dimensiones de ansiedad. De acuerdo a los resultados este estudio permitirá desarrollar programas de prevención y tratamiento efectivos para el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y la ansiedad en estudiantes universitarios y también identificar en los estudiantes que están en riesgo de desarrollar problemas de ansiedad y consumo de sustancias psicoactivas

It was a basic research study with a non-experimental, descriptive correlational design, using a sample of 166 psychology students in their final years. The data were collected using standardized questionnaires for the assessment of psychoactive substance use (ASSIST) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory. (BAI). The results indicated that (30.1%) have moderate anxiety and (31.9%) high anxiety, with the most consumed substances being alcohol (76.5%) and tobacco (68.7%). There is a relationship between the consumption of psychoactive substances and anxiety (coefficients) at levels of anxiety dimensions.
