La recolección de datos se realizó utilizando dos instrumentos: el primero para identificar la relación de ayuda de la enfermera y el segundo para identificar el nivel de estrés del familiar cuidador. Los resultados evidenciaron que: el 98% de los familiares cuidadores calificaron inadecuada relación de ayuda de la enfermera y solo el 2% una adecuada relación de ayuda. Así mismo, el 92% de los familiares cuidadores obtuvieron nivel de estrés alto, el 8% nivel de estrés medio. Aplicando la prueba estadística Chi-cuadrado, se obtuvo un valor p = 0.001, concluyendo que existe influencia altamente significativa entre la relación de ayuda de la enfermera y nivel de estrés del familiar cuidador.

The type of study was descriptive correlational cross-section; the sample universe consisted of 50 family caregivers. Data collection was performed using two instruments: the first to identify the relationship of help from the nurse and the second to identify the level of stress of family caregivers. The results showed that: 98% of family caregivers helping relationship inadequate qualified nurse and only 2% adequate aid relationship.
