Se empleó un cuestionario de 20 preguntas, el cual fue validado, con una validez de Aiken de 1, y una confiabilidad Alfa de Cronbach de 0.849. Se empleo la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado con un valor de significancia de p≤0.05 Resultados: Los escolares del Centro Educativo Jan Komensky, presentaron un nivel de conocimiento bueno sin la intervención educativa con un 42% y con la intervención educativa, se obtuvo sobresaliente con un 53%. Con la prueba Chi Cuadrado, se halló diferencia estadísticamente significativa con el valor de p ≤ 0.05. Conclusiones: La intervención educativa fue eficaz en los escolares del centro educativo Jan Komensky, siendo el nivel de conocimiento sobre hábitos de higiene oral mayor en el sexo femenino y en la adolescencia tardía.

Material and method: The study is longitudinal and experimental; with a sample of 166 high school students were evaluated distributed into two groups: without intervention and with intervention, from the Jan Komensky educational center. A 20-question questionnaire was used., which was validated with an Aiken validity of 1 and a Cronbachs Alpha reliability of 0.849.The Chi square statistical test was used with a significance valuee of p≤0.05 Results: The schoolchildren of the Jan Komensky Educational Center presented a good level of knowledge without educational intervention with 42% and with educational intervention, an outsanding score was obtained with 53%. With the Chi test Square, a statistically significant difference was foun with the value of p≤0.05.
