El método Pavement Condition Index (PCI), tiene como fundamento en realizar un análisis de aplicación para obtener un índice de integridad estructural del pavimento y de la condición funcional de la superficie siendo así que se realiza procedimientos para cuantificar valores y determinar su índice de condición incluyendo su respectivo tratamiento y mantenimiento. Para esta investigación se adoptó el procedimiento según el Manual PCI aplicando criterios respectivos a la rama de transportes. Es así que, identificamos el tramo de estudio y evaluamos por unidad de muestra el tipo de fallas existentes, siendo un trabajo prolijo en campo llevando instrumentos como el nivel, cono y wincha. A continuación, se desarrolló el proceso de datos mediante los registros obtenidos y hallamos el área de cada tipo de falla presentadas en cada unidad de muestreo incluyendo el nivel de severidad. Finalmente se determinó que la avenida Guzmán Barrón cuenta con un rango de PCI de 61.2 lo que indica que su estado de conservación es BUENO según lo evaluado.

The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method is based on performing an application analysis to obtain an index of structural integrity of the pavement and the functional condition of the surface, thus performing procedures to quantify values and determine their condition index. including their respective treatment and maintenance. For this investigation, the procedure was adopted according to the PCI Manual, applying respective criteria to the transportation branch. Thus, we identify the study section and evaluate the type of existing faults per sample unit, being a neat work in the field carrying instruments such as the level, cone and winch. Next, the data process was developed using the records obtained and we found the area of each type of failure presented in each sampling unit, including the severity level.
