La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 114 pacientes mujeres con hipotiroidismo primario, distribuidos en dos grupos: con adherencia terapéutica y sin adherencia terapéutica. Resultados: El análisis estadístico sobre las variables en estudio fue: la edad con un p = 0,011 indicando una significancia estadística. Conclusiones: La variable de mayor significancia estadística fue la edad, sin embargo no se encontró una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el conocimiento de la enfermedad, el cumplimiento terapéutico, el grado de instrucción, el tiempo de enfermedad, y otras comorbilidades (Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2, Hipertensión Arterial) y la adherencia terapéutica en pacientes mujeres con hipotiroidismo primario
