Se contó con participación de 52 madres adolescentes, a quienes se les aplicó dos escalas como instrumentos de medición, a través de la técnica la encuesta. Los resultados indicaron una autoestima elevada en el 63.5% de madres adolescentes y una autoestima media en el 36.5%; también, un vínculo afectivo en el 100% de los casos; por otro lado, se halló que 63.5% de las madres adolescentes presentaron un vínculo afectivo materno óptimo y una autoestima elevada, además de evidenciarse una relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables (Rho = 0.328; p = 0.018). Se concluyó que, la autoestima de la madre adolescente puede asociarse a un vínculo afectivo más sólido con el recién nacido.

Fifty-two adolescent mothers participated, to whom two scales were applied as measurement instruments, through the survey technique. The results indicated high self-esteem in 63.5% of the adolescent mothers and medium self-esteem in 36.5%; also, an affective bond in 100% of the cases; on the other hand, it was found that 63.5% of the adolescent mothers presented an optimal maternal affective bond and high self-esteem, in addition to showing a statistically significant relationship between the variables (Rho = 0.328; p = 0.018).
