El tipo de estudio fue cuantitativo, correlacional, diseño no experimental, transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 25 enfermeras, se aplicó 02 instrumentos validados para recopilación de datos. Según los resultados obtenidos encontramos 80% presentó nivel de conocimientos regular sobre bioseguridad, el 12% obtuvo un nivel bueno, el 8% obtuvo un conocimiento deficiente. En las actitudes sobre la bioseguridad el 56% presentaron actitudes no adecuadas y el 44% actitudes adecuadas. Así mismo los subdimensiones precauciones universales y dimensión barrera protectoras no se relacionan con las actitudes sobre bioseguridad, mientras que la dimensión manejo de residuos sólidos si se relaciona con las actitudes sobre bioseguridad. Se concluye la relación existente de los conocimientos sobre bioseguridad y las actitudes sobre bioseguridad de la población en estudio con un valor de significancia de 0,019 y un coeficiente Rho de Spearman de 0,465

The type of study is quantitative, correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population was made up of 23 nurses, 02 validated instruments were applied for data collection. According to the results obtained, we found that 80% had a regular level of knowledge about biosafety, 12% obtained a good level, and 8% obtained poor knowledge. Regarding attitudes about biosafety, 56% presented inappropriate attitudes and 44% presented adequate attitudes. Likewise, the universal precautions subdimensions and protective barrier dimension are not related to attitudes toward biosafety, while the solid waste management dimension is related to attitudes toward biosafety.
