No se encontró asociación entre el uso de dolutegravir y la hiperglicemia (RR = 1, p = 1.000). Variables como sexo, IMC, nivel de educación, hipertensión, carga viral, tipo de régimen antirretroviral y edad fueron evaluadas. La hipertensión (OR = 10.40, p = 0.003), la edad (OR = 16.20, p = 0.0007) y el nivel de educación mostraron asociaciones con la hiperglicemia, siendo la hipertensión la variable más relevante. Conclusión: El uso de dolutegravir no se asocia con un riesgo incrementado de hiperglicemia en adultos con VIH. La hipertensión comórbida y una mayor edad fueron variables intervinientes

Clinical-demographic and laboratory data were collected, and statistical analysis was performed using the chi-square test. Measures as RR and OR were determined. Results: Of the 124 patients, 9 (14.5%) presented hyperglycemia both within the exposed and the unexposed cohorts. No association was found between the use of dolutegravir and hyperglycemia (RR = 1, p = 1.000). Variables such as sex, BMI, education level, hypertension, viral load, type of antiretroviral regimen, and age were evaluated. Hypertension (OR = 10.40, p = 0.003), age (OR = 16.20, p = 0.0007), and education level showed associations with hyperglycemia, with hypertension being the most relevant variable. Conclusion: The use of dolutegravir is not associated with an increased risk of hyperglycemia in adults with HIV.
