Resultados: El tiempo intraoperatorio promedio fue 94.5 min en pacientes con anestesia general y 91.5 min en pacientes con anestesia raquídea. Por ende, los pacientes sometidos anestesia general aumentaron el riesgo de tener un tiempo operatorio mayor a 60 min con (RR2.01, IC:1.14-2.34), a diferencia de los sometidos a anestesia raquídea que fue de (p 0.06). Se observó dolor moderado con (EVA >3) en el grupo de pacientes sometidos a anestesia general (p 0.04), en contraste con los pacientes sometidos a anestesia regional que fue de (p 0.064). Además, en el postoperatorio inmediato, así como mayor riesgo de presentar náuseas y vómitos (p 0.05) (RR 2.13, IC:1.45-2.35) siendo un factor de riesgo. Conclusión: Los pacientes operados con anestesia general tuvieron mayor tiempo operatorio; presentaron dolor moderado (EVA >3), expresaron más síntomas de náuseas, así como, mayor apoyo ventilatorio; por lo cual, la anestesia raquídea es un método alternativo efectivo para solucionar colecistitis aguda en pacientes plenamente seleccionados |

Methodology: An Analytical study was carried out; observational, retrospective cohort type, of 178 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy operated under general anesthesia (89) and spinal anesthesia (89). Results: The average intraoperative time was 94.5 min in patients with general anesthesia and 91.5 min in patients with spinal anesthesia. Therefore, patients undergoing general anesthesia increased the risk of having an operative time greater than 60 min with (RR2.01, CI:1.14-2.34), unlike those undergoing spinal anesthesia, which was (p 0.06). Moderate pain was observed with (VAS >3) in the group of patients undergoing general anesthesia (p 0.04), in contrast to patients undergoing regional anesthesia which was (p 0.064). Furthermore, in the immediate postoperative period, as well as a higher risk of nausea and vomiting (p 0.05) (RR 2.13, CI:1.45-2.35) being a risk factor.
