Este informe presenta dos tipos de mantenimiento: preventivo y correctivo. El mantenimiento preventivo se centra en mantener el buen funcionamiento y prolongar la vida útil de los equipos. El mantenimiento correctivo se encarga de corregir las averías ya producidas. Se destaca la importancia de la ingeniería electrónica en la biomedicina, permitiendo el diseño y desarrollo de dispositivos médicos electrónicos, sistemas de análisis de datos y tecnologías de investigación médica. El informe propone la implementación de un manual de mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo para equipos biomédicos en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo. Los objetivos incluyen diagnosticar la situación actual del proceso de mantenimiento, describir los problemas existentes en los equipos biomédicos más utilizados, determinar costos y beneficios, y desarrollar un manual que garantice el mantenimiento efectivo de los equipos. Para fundamentar la propuesta, se presentan antecedentes internacionales, nacionales y locales que abordan estrategias y metodologías similares en el ámbito del mantenimiento de equipos biomédicos. El informe también detalla los tipos de equipos biomédicos considerados en el estudio, como microscopios binoculares, centrífugas, espectrofotómetros visibles, baño de agua maría, esterilizador eléctrico de aire caliente seco, incubadora biológica, autoclave vertical, destilador de agua, rotador serológico, analizador bioquímico semi automatizado, analizador hematológico semi automatizado y ecógrafo; junto con sus funciones y características técnicas. En este estudio, se utilizará el diagrama de Pareto para analizar las principales causas de fallas en los equipos biomédicos del Hospital Belén de Trujillo. The lack of technical knowledge and personnel training, as well as the lack of adequate maintenance tools, have led to the need to develop a preventive and corrective maintenance plan for this equipment. This report presents two types of maintenance: preventive and corrective. Preventive maintenance focuses on maintaining the proper functioning and prolonging the useful life of the equipment. Corrective maintenance is responsible for correcting faults that have already occurred. The importance of electronic engineering in biomedicine is highlighted, enabling the design and development of electronic medical devices, data analysis systems and medical research technologies. The report proposes the implementation of a preventive and corrective maintenance manual for biomedical equipment at Hospital Belén de Trujillo. The objectives include diagnosing the current situation of the maintenance process, describing the existing problems in the most commonly used biomedical equipment, determining costs and benefits, and developing a manual to ensure effective maintenance of the equipment. In order to support the proposal, international, national and local antecedents that address similar strategies and methodologies in the field of biomedical equipment maintenance are presented.
